While I greatly recommend doing proper skincare before makeup application (this allows a smoother, healthier application and previously worn makeup won't be compounded and build up with new makeup), this is fine by simply washing your face, applying daily facial moisturizer/lotion, and then going in with the BB foundation. One thing to note is to make sure to shake the bottle before ejecting any product. This will guarantee the product being properly mixed before applying onto face. Now, onto the product itself. This is a great BB cream, especially for those with normal to slightly dry skin. Admittedly, as someone with very, *very* dry skin, I had to compensate more with hydrating and moisturizing. I have this issue with almost all makeup, so I don't entirely blame this on the product, but I think it's worth mentioning for those who struggle with very dry skin. This product is slightly buildable, however not much clearance. Sheer enough to build a bit, but thick enough to where too much will cause caking. I'd say if you're concern about more coverage, to go in with a concealer (for those on a budget, I recommend ELF's Hydrating Camo Concealer-- amazing product for the price point). This foundation serves as a great color corrector. The one star taken off is due to the somewhat drying effect this seems to have on me. This product is hydrating, however is clearly meant for those who're closer to normal than dry skin to use. Nonetheless, this is a great product! Will buy again in the future. ... show more

I am 52 and have sensitive skin. I started noticing that some sunscreens would cause me to break out a few years back. I feel this may be the case with this product. I really love the product otherwise. This product goes on very well with a makeup brush. I do clean my foundation brush daily. I wore this product 4 days in a row. It made my skin look very good on day 1 and 2. Unfortunately, at the end of day one I had a pimple, an additional pimple at the end of day 2, and several new ones by the end of day 3 and 4. On day 2 it covered the pimple from day 1 pretty well. and did okay on day 3 covering the 2 pimples from the previous 2 days. Unfortunately, the additional pimples I got by the end of day 3 was more than it could cover on day 4 It is the morning of what would have been day 5 and I am certain since it didn't cover the pimples yesterday and I have new ones that came during day 4 that it will not cover them today. I thought on day 1 that maybe it is one of my occasional pimples, but with a new one on day 2 and several coming of day 3 and a couple more on day 4, I am pretty sure it is the product. At the age of 52, I occasionally still have a pimple, but not in a large amount. No other new products were used. I do love the texture and the way it made my skin look the first couple of days, and the way it applied. The down side is bumps. I haven't had this many at one time in years. Also, I do have very dry skin and this product was not drying. If it weren't for the pimples I would keep the product. I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't have sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin you can always try it. What causes outbreaks on me may not cause them on you. ... show more

I love this foundation! It is super buildable and doesn't end up looking dry and crackly on my face after hours of wear. It's really nice in the summer heat too because I can put a very thin layer on to cover my redness and it doesn't sweat off or look bad after a light sweat. The color matched me perfectly too after using a color matcher on a makeup website. The only flaw I wish they would fix is that the pump squirts straight out. 😳 So my first time using it I squirted it all over my outfit... 🤣 now I know!!
