Iceco 55qt fridge freezer in tbe back of a 2008 jku, fits but needs a solid base to sit on and mount to, I plan on pulling out the carpet and using a sheet of plywood to mount it to.

When mounted to unforgiving plywood, as ours is, the lever is too close to the wood to really allow large hands or fat fingers to get under it to engage the slide function. For that reason, we deducted one star. In all other aspects, the slide works fine and allows us to keep our heavy refrigerator/freezer secure and tucked away when we're on the road, and then closer to the van door opening when we're parked and needing to access its contents. ... show more

    • Not the greatest grease and no saftey catch

It's okay, does what it says however could be improved. The grease that is used on the bearings collects dust extremely quickly and bad which makes the drawer grindy when sliding it. I used some degreaser and cleaned it all out then used some dry silicone spray to to lubricate the bearings which is much better at keeping off the dust. The bolts on the side of the drawer stick out which takes up extra space would be better if the sides were flush. The biggest issue is that there's no saftey catch. I have not had an issue with the handle but for the money I would expect a second locking mechanism. ... show more

    • Get the Loctite out!
The slide operates well and is still functioning after a 30,000 mile road trip to the Arctic Ocean and back. The nylock nuts that hold the slide to the frame vibrated loose between 15K and 20K mile. You’ll want to loctite them on if you are traveling regularly on gravel roads.

The slider works great. Locks in 3 different positions, closed, half pulled out, and fully pulled out. I mounted mine in a 1994 Bronco, fit perfectly. I added the dimensions in the photos since it was very hard for me to find them online. Would have been nice to have them before installation to make sure everything lined up. I got lucky as everything was perfect. If you are going to mount it in a vehicle make sure the backside and the sides has ample room for air to circulate around the fridge. A couple inches on each side works fine. One issue I did have was a few of the screws that held the slider together were loose and I lost them during installation. I need to remove one from the unit to be able to get additional screws. Not a big deal, but would be nice not to have to deal with it. Fridge works amazing as well. Went on a two day camping trip and fridge and freezer were 42 degrees and 7 degrees all weekend long. Will never go back to an ice chest. ... show more

The quality is good, but the shipping process is bad because it takes way longer than it should be, and the company should provide bolts at least with considering the price ! Its not cheap.
