Nice gift, really fun to use but don’t fly it when it is windy. Easy to setup just needs some batteries. Charge out of the box for the plane was good.

    • Lightweight and fun. Easiest drone I've flown. Best for indoors, garage or NO wind. 4 1/2 stars
This is probably the easiest drone I've ever flown. Just a few minutes out of the box and I was maneuvering around the garage with ease. It is super lightweight and probably won't survive too many crash landings due to its Styrofoam construction. It comes with two rechargeable batteries and charging cable. You have to be careful removing it from the packaging or it will get damaged. Carefully press the sides that are holding the drone and don't just try to pull it out. The controls are pretty easy to learn after reading the instructions. It lifted off and hovered about 4 feet off the ground and I slowly started to maneuver it. After a couple minutes I felt comfortable and had it moving around the garage like I knew what I was doing. I think its larger plane shape helps it from moving too abruptly unlike the smaller body drones that make quick moves. It will not tolerate any wind whatsoever though. Just beware. Lots of fun though and I give it 4 1/2 stars. ... show more

This model plane is functional and fun to fly. The spare battery and props are a nice touch. I had to take 1 star away because of the poorly written instruction booklet. There are a large number of buttons and operational features that need instructions on how to use them. The text wording is very cryptic and would have been so much better if someone had taken just 1 hour to proofread and correct the errors. I also have no idea how they decided this was a "14+-year-old" product. My 8-year-old grandchild mastered this in 10 minutes. And finally, I have no idea why the manufacturer decided this toy in only for "boys". Really? ... show more

    • Worked fine till the wind blew it away (maybe 10 min after getting it)
Be advised that you cannot use this with ANY wind (the instructions say something like <3m, whatever that's supposed to mean). The plane is made of what feels like light weight styrofoam, it is super duper light and I'm not confident it would hold up that long. It took a few min to get it to actually pair with the controller, then it seemed to respond to the controls. My kid had been flying it for a few min and he says the forward movement stopped working and the wind blew it away. I can't vouch to whether that was actually the case, it seemed to work fine when we tested it indoors. So for ~10 min of flying it was probably good. I wouldn't get another one though. ... show more

    • Entertaining but hard to control.
This is a neat toy, but if there is any wind you're probably going to lose it. It is very difficult to control, and it's not well balanced. It constantly wants to move in a direction and you'll be fighting against it with little success. A large indoor area would be ideal, but you'll still have problems with control.
