I like to keep separate the fruits from the veggies from the meats in my freezers, but honestly, organizing chest freezers can be nearly impossible. I picked up these baskets for the chest freezer because I loved the stacking design, but it died so I had to try them in my stand up freezer. PROS: the adjustable nature makes it helpful to fit in just about any freezer. I like the stacking feature and plan to use it for my small chest freezer once I finally use all the bones in it for bone broth. They will fit in there perfectly (they fit in the dead chest freezer great so I know they will fit in the other one). CONS: the feet on the bottom make it not great for wire shelves, but in all fairness, they weren’t marketed for upright freezers. The small wrench bent out of shape getting the nuts tightened onto the bolt so it was hard to get all of them as tight as needed. The wrench needs to be stronger. OVERALL: great design and they hold a lot when fully expanded. I plan to get more when I can use them for my chest freezer.

We have had a chest freezer in our garage for years. It’s been great for longer term storage of things like baked goods, cheese, veggies, and meat that you can buy in bulk or on sale, and then use over the course of several months. The issue with this approach is that stuff gets jumbled around and then you have to take everything out to see what you’ve still got. Several times we ended up buying more of something that we already had. We needed organization! These freezer bins were perfect for that. And because they have and adjustable width, we haven’t wasted any space in our freezer. As you can see in the pictures, they come disassembled, so “assembly required,” although the assembly was easy and quick with the included tools and hardware. And because the packaging was good, there was no damage to any of the bins. Although one of the little plastic feet was broken when it arrived, they included several spares in the box so we didn’t have any issues where we had to wait for replacement parts. Size-wise these bins are a good balance between being “big enough” to fit larger bags / items, while also being small enough that you won’t strain your back lifting them out of the freezer. Each bin can hold about 4-6 large loaves of sandwich bread, if that helps for size comparison. Recommended purchase!

The concept of adjustable sizing is great. A bit of assembly is required but fairly easy except for the plastic foot protectors. These were difficult to put on and 3 split when I tried to put them on, leaving me without enough protectors for the last basket. I decided it was OK without the protectors. Moving ahead, I sized, I adjusted, and loaded up all the 6 baskets and put them in my freezer. As I was positioning the last one, the handled fell off, the welding did not hold. Disappointed. I have not decided yet whether to return these baskets. I like the idea of being able to get to things more easily but it appears I cannot get as much in the freezer using the baskets as without them. I will give it a few days to see if the convenience is worth the loss of space. As for the broken basket. Returning them would mean completely emptying my freezer - again. and reloading. This option is still under consideration.

My chest freezer was a bottomless pit and I never knew just how much stuff I had in there. When I received these baskets, I went to work taking everything out and sorted everything by category. So many things slid their way to the bottom and became freezer burned and had to be tossed. I put these baskets in and now I need to order more. I was easily able to fit them into the space I had since they are adjustable. They fit a lot of stuff in them and I was shocked at how much more room I have now. Definitely ordering another set so I can get the rest of the smaller items placed. Easy to take out to get to the stuff underneath as long as you don't make them too heavy.

I am very happy that I came across these baskets. I have a deep chest freezer in my garage and I always have the problem of forgetting what I’ve put in the bottom of it or just not being able to get to anything on the bottom because of all the things that I’ve packed on top of it. This will keep it so much more organized so all I will have to do is lift a basket out to see what’s underneath, instead of taking things out one by one. This is something I think everyone needs if you have a chest freezer!
