I’m genuinely impressed with the ISOtunes Sport Caliber BT Shooting Ear Protection. As someone who needs solid hearing protection without sacrificing awareness, these hit the mark perfectly. I've been using these for two weeks now and I'm glad to find ear pro that can keep up! As a 3-gun shooter and match director I wanted ear pro that was secure, comfortable, wireless, could protect well enough with my competition rifle (with muzzle break), and play music/take phone calls while doing match setup and stage reset. These deliver!! I was also excited to discover they have two levels of impact noise suppression. Slower fire allows safe sound to still be heard, like shooting rifle steel at distance, while faster fire completely cuts out loud noise, like shooting a plate rack with my pistol. These react to the specific hearing needs of the situation and either limit noise in short bursts, or completely cut out all noise in continuous fire arrays. Recovery is fast in either case, so I can still hear what I need to, but avoid what I don't. Being in competition, I'm usually wearing ear pro for 6-12 hours at a time. Having a device that can protect when I'm the shooter, but also play music when I'm just resetting is a game changer. It's only been a few weeks but I've never had the battery die, even when used for 11 hours straight. Getting a good fit is not too bad, as long as I get these seated all the way into my ear. Inserting into my ear and then rotating down they seem to lock in place. I think some reviews about low volume and bad protection are probably not seating these as recommended. The max volume is almost too loud when inserted correctly, and 7 different sizes of ear tips made it easy to get a good sound seal. The touch pad took a little getting used to but I'm pretty good at it now. I can use Siri to make phone calls without getting my phone out. I wish they worked better with gloves, but that's another story. I also like that they automatically pair with my phone after the initial setup. Synopsis: Ultra secure, great audio quality, unique sound suppression, great price, and super long battery life make these a solid choice for those that shoot a lot!

I’ve been using the ISOtunes Sport Caliber BT earbuds for shooting, and they’ve definitely impressed me. The biggest win is how well they balance hearing protection with situational awareness. Gunshots are suppressed instantly, but you can still hear conversations, range commands, and movement around you. It feels natural and way less bulky than traditional earmuffs — especially when shooting rifles where big muffs can get in the way. The Bluetooth feature is a huge plus. I can listen to music or take calls without removing my ear protection, and the battery easily lasts through long range days. The buds are lightweight, come in a compact charging case, and the waterproof design makes them reliable in any weather. That said, they’re not perfect. For indoor ranges or heavy-caliber rifles, the protection isn’t as strong as over-ear muffs. You may want to double up if you’re shooting something loud in a tight space. The ambient sound mode can also sound a little “digital” at times, depending on the environment. Overall, the ISOtunes Caliber BT earbuds are excellent for outdoor shooting, hunting, and anyone who wants comfort, freedom of movement, and solid protection without bulky gear. Great everyday ear-pro with the bonus of Bluetooth convenience.

So, I’ve had these for a few months now and am extremely happy with my purchase. I bought them to replace my ear muff style hearing protection and I’m glad I did. These things are comfortable, they seal very well in the ear and sound quality is beautiful. Has awesome noise cancellation tech and seems strong I keep it in my range bag exclusively now. The first pair arrived D.O.A. Amazon took care of the replacement, easily. Second set was not that great so returned and went with Walker bluetooth 2.0. Walkers are cheaper and better all around for amplification, noise cancelation, and ease of use. The ambient sound mics face the outside of the buds of the isotunes so they pick up a lot of wind noise, easily. Amplification was just ok on the isotunes when the wind wasn't blowing, although touch control of volume adjustment leaves a lot to be desired. Even on the mid volume setting the sound of people talking was distorted. Noise cancellation was horrible with rifle rounds. I did take the time to try the different tips. Had the proper fit and still noise cancelation was horrible for rifle rounds. I'm very picky about the fit of ear buds. I mainly wear samsung buds to listen to music while I work 8-10 hours a day, in a noisey, manufacturing, environment. Volume control is sketchy at best, especially with cold fingers while hunting. The walkers have a phone app so adjustments are easy. Only thing the isotunes have going for them is the size of the case compared to the walkers. I could only stand to use the isotunes a handful of times so can't report on battery life and haven't used the walkers much more to report on them either. I was skeptical of the walkers at first, because every pair of over the ear walker brand headphones i have tried, the ambient sound sounds like someone has recorded a live converstion on cassette tape and playing it back. You older guys will get that reference... Nothing like the ambient sound quality of MSA Sordin headphones. But ambient sound quality is fine with the walker bluetooth2.0's. Save some money and just go with the walkers for in ear buds.

OMG. Buy these. I’ve literally tried ALL the hearing protection products on the market (GloryFire, Bose, Tozo). Nothing good enough. So I just went to an Audiologist (Dr Peshwani in Dallas) who did custom ear molds and sold me on Westone DigitalDX5 ($2,000), advertised with Bluetooth connectivity. Took 2 weeks to get them. Perfect fit. But BLUETOOTH was another $400 ‘add-on’ requiring a goofy-ass neck loop and controls. So frustrating. So, I’ve literally this week - returned the Westone custom rip-offs (false marketing on Bluetooth!), and tried these ISO Tunes. They came overnight. $170. Tried a few of ear plugs provided until I found a very snug, comfortable fit, and they are AMAZING!! Took 1 minute to sync with Bluetooth. Noise cancellation is immediate. So I can hear well with them in; can take clear calls - even outside; and can be listening to my tunes all at the same time. I don’t work or really care about all these other companies hawking hearing protection - but these are truly wonderful. And if I’m wrong, they take returns with 100% refund! (Unlike Westone scam-artists who were going to charge me 15% restocking fee even though the ‘Bluetooth Compatible’ claim required AN ADDITIONAL $400. Don’t worry - I got the full $2,000 refund). If you need excellent hearing protection, customizable fit, with active listening, noise cancellation, and Bluetooth connectivity, this is your product. Already tried the ‘shooting range’ experience and they live up to their 26 decibel rating. Order these now.

Constant wind noise… pass through sound was very artificial sounding. Loud sounds were deadened, but low sounds were too amplified. Lower volumes were better but still irritating. Sound protection against 9mm shots were ok, but ambient sound quality itself was very poor. Very annoying.

I work around heavy equipment and need to wear hearing protection most of the day. To start, I initially purchased the axil gs and hated them. Constantly fell out of my ears, kept disconnecting from Bluetooth, and a pain to get lined up in your ears. Love the Isotunes. Very intuitive to put in. A little twist, and they’re in tight and stay there. Bluetooth connection works up to about 20 feet. Stay in my ears well. I generally sweat a lot throughout the day, so I was surprised they stayed in so well. I don’t love the tap commands. Sometimes when I’m just taking them out for a second, they’ll turn off or turn the volume up or down, etc. but once you get used to the commands, it’s easy to just tap the back on or tune the volume back up. So not a deal breaker. The battery hasn’t died on me yet. I generally use them for 4-5 hours, then throw them in the case to recharge at lunch (no need to find an outlet, the case will recharge them a couple times). Then they’re good to go the rest of the day. I’m generally listen to music as well, so the battery life is good. They Won’t generally make it 8 hours. I wore them just to listen to music on the farm one day, and they lasted 6-7 hours and died. But again no big deal just threw them in the case for an hour or so and I was back in business. Overall, I think for the money, this is the best value, and a great product. The axil wireless were around 500-600$.
