Bought to replace ages-old Plumb It. It's not perfectly accurate but almost perfect and more accurate than the old abused Plumb It. Plenty accurate for rough framing, and a little cheaper than a new Plumb It. I like the quality and construction, it seems easily as well built as the plumb it and a little spiffier looking. If you're not familiar with these extendable levels, or not sure which length to buy, believe me, the 5' to 13'-10" is the way to go; big enough for almost any measurement, but small enough to handle up in the roof trusses... these are indispensable on the job site and this is the size to get. We've been using this one on the job for almost a year now and it's done well, I recommend it. ... show more

This is a great tool for setting wooden posts for pole barns. I used it set plumb 14 foot posts for a pole barn I was building. Accuracy is great and this beats trying to use a four foot level. Next project is leveling between concrete forms for a 12 foot wide concrete driveway.

After receiving this level, and seeing that the packaging clearly states "MADE IN CHINA", this product description is inaccurate. It was may understanding that Plumb-it made these levels for Irwin in Arizona, USA, but that is no longer the case after calling Plumb It. It turns out that Plumb It did make extendable levels for Irwin many years ago (that ended around 2008), but when Irwin tried to buy Plumb-It out, and they didn't want to sell out, Irwin sent the blue prints of the design to China for manufacturing. That being said, the Irwin is a very similar copy... ripoff of the genuine Plumb It PIX levels. The Irwin functions similar, but the quality of the materials and the vials is not as good as the real Plumb It. That being said, I will be sending these Chinese copy back to Bezos, and will think long and hard before I buy another Irwin product. They are a bad company, and bad for this country if you love it. ... show more

Nice tool for tall walls and the tool itself is as advertised, however, the last one that I bought from Irwin came with a zip up canvas case to tote it around so it somewhat protects this tool from damage. I was charged the same price for this one but no zip up case. I gave 3.5 stars for this reason. ... show more
