I love having all the extra space but suggest putting a towel down (and a non-slip pad if you have it) to make sure it doesn’t move and catch condensation. After trying every hack I could find to get my giant 100% polyester table linens wrinkle free without success, I ordered this and am ironing them on a big open space of floor. I tried doing this on my dining room table but am fining the floor to be a lot easier. Then, the bonus is it's pretty easy to fold up the ironed linens and make sure I lint roll off any little hairs or anything. I will also be bringing this to set-up for my wedding so that we can iron on the tables any creases from folding and hanging, as needed.

I use this regularly for quilting and iron the fabrics with the highest steam setting on a thick, durable, Home Depot plastic folding table. The table has suffered no ill effects. The pad has a quilted side and an unquilted side. It folds up easily for storage and line dries quickly after use. It came on time and did not smell of mildew. I haven't washed it yet, so I can't speak about its durability in the washer. So far it has been great!

I love this mat and it was an absolute necessity for the bridal gown I was making. The only thing I didn’t like was that the top layer wrinkled because it was bigger than the base layers. I ended up smoothing out the excess and pinning it down along the edges until I have the time to stitch it down permanently. In order to make sure I protected my table underneath I doubled up an old packing blanket and no heat made it through at all. I don’t know if it would have, but I didn’t want to take the chance. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a large pressing surface.

This mat serves the purpose that I sought. I wanted to have space to iron large sewing projects on a space that is larger than a traditional ironing board. This mat functions very well.
