If you have wide calves, these may not work for you. They’re decent for mild temps, but I wouldn’t trust them to keep my feet very warm in freezing temps.

First, these socks are not fluffy puffy socks, they're like compression socks that hang on and stay in place and they don't add a lot of mass to your foot you don't have to compress your foot into your boot. Second, I put these on, slipped on my boots and worked outside all day (9hrs) in -4°F weather. My feet never got cold and didn't perspire either (which causes them to get cold). These are great for very cold weather.

I bought these for boot socks. Every other sock I have is eventually pulled down by the walking action in the boot, but these...work!!! They are comfortable, about twice as thick as a cotton sock, and reach to right above my calf. I really, really like them after wearing a few times!

I love how they hug you, and are do comfortable, I though they would be itchy but they are soft and cuddly. I LOVE THEM. a little pricey for what I usually pay for but didn't care and bought 3 batches :)
