It came already messed up,It held a charge for a while so didn't know about the charging circuit being messed up, circut board wasn't centered, wouldn't allow charger on it. No big deal, took it apart and moved it, seemed to be okay, but it won't take a good charge and light has become increasingly dull, and won't last long at all. Of course it's past return for item as it always is, it seems. Also the mount sucks, locks nice and tight at first, but after a lil riding becomes unusable loose, even after tightening the smallest Allen head screws I've ever seen. I can't say I'd recommend it. 7-12-25 Customer service contacted me, and made it right, sent out a new working unit within a few messages. I'll be honest the mounting bracket on this thing kinda sucks, once the tiny Allen head screws come loose and need to be tightened. There is no metal for it to bite into, I recommend making the hole a lil bigger and using a shallow screw with dab of lock tight seems to do the trick. Note, they do this from factory, with lock tight already, just to small of screws into to thin of metal. The larger surface screws seem to lock it in. The lights are very bright, and last a while once charged.

I have had this light for two years. I don't bike anymore, but I use this light a lot, especially when looking for things (so many are black). I am an older guy and cataracts are becoming an issue. My wife also uses it for much the same reason. I still intend to use it as a landing light on my 1947 airplane when required. (A little tape required) Important: I returned my first light because I thought the on/off switch was bad. When I got the replacement I figured it out. Only use a quick poke to turn on the light, not a slow poke. I love this light and use it as a phone charger when I am not at home, periodically.

Reviewing "IPSXP 2023 New 8500 Lumens Bike Lights,Headlight Runtime 14+ Hours" I wish I would have found this portable light much sooner, instead of wasting money on other brands. I give this light 4/5 stars because it is truly the brightest bicycle / scooter light I've ever purchased (I've now bought three of them, as I have multiple vehicles), AND the battery lasts a solid 4-5 hours on the brightest setting. I deduct one star only because the mounting piece swivels, and although it has a slight rachet (clicking) to it, it's not firm enough to keep the light from swiveling left to right when riding. Thus, I frequently have to turn the light back straight ahead, because it has moved either right or left. (It stays vertically just fine, but swivels horizontally easier than it should). I tested this light on the brightest setting to see how long it would last, just sitting around my house, and it lasted 4-5 hours. Other lights either aren't as bright, and/or they last nowhere as long. The other major pro is that the light has a quick release clip from the mount, so that you can easily remove the light to charge it somewhere, or to use it as a (super bright) flashlight along a trail, sidewalk, or wherever. Many lights are permanently attached to their mounts, but again, this one quickly releases (and yet stays well attached when riding an electric scooter at 30+ mph). When I need to charge the lights, I just slide the lights out of the mounts on my electric scooter, and charge them on my desk, then pop them back into the mounts on the scooter when they are done charging. Perfect. In terms of brightness, I can't speak quantitatively to actual lumens, etc., but they are bona fide bright. I ride my scooter fast (25+ mph) so I need good reach, and thus I actually use two of these--one sometimes on a pulse setting to give me better visibility / awareness to oncoming traffic. Again, I simply wish I had found these sooner. However, my one wish is that they wouldn't swivel side to side so easily. Make that mechanism a little firmer, and these would be perfect.

I got this because my old bike light was not bright enough. It wasn’t lighting the path enough for me to see much, both the area coverage and brightness was lacking. This one though, is extremely bright and covers a great amount of area, so much that I have to reduce the brightness when driving on regular roads at night because I don’t want to blind drivers. I would say that’s a pretty great “con”. So yes, no regrets at all about this. Compact and feels super sturdy without the detachable batteries and casing and all. I do wish the battery was a tad longer lasting but it’s not short enough for me to complain just yet.

I used a different bike light, but that one stopped working the first time it got wet in the rain. Then I got this one, and it holds up as advertised. The strap just fits over my handlebars, you might need a different attachment mechanism if you have fat handles. The clip mechanism is very stiff, so when I want to remove the light, it’s easier to just undo the strap and take the whole mount off. The bright setting is definitely bright. The dim level seems only a little less than full bright, so I might use that if I were trying to conserve the battery. The quick and slow flashing also work, but I don’t use them as my bike headlight.
