This is my second purchase of this item. My first one was 3 years old and getting really yellow. Case is great especially because it works with my apple keyboard. Only issue is (you can see in the pic) there is something embedded in the plastic. I can't get it out by cleaning or rubbing the front or back of the case. Knocked off 1 star for that.

Fits on my iPad Air 3 very well. I think it’s okay for using it around my home. But I would need a better protective case for public use.

Just received the newly updated design of this case which fits the Apple Keyboard perfectly. The case itself does not add too much weight to the iPad and although smooth, it is kinda grippy so it feels a bit more secure while you hold on to the iPad. Having a holder for the Apple Pencil is a really nice and thoughtful bonus. This case has a ridge around the front which can help protect the screen if lying face down (if you don't use a cover) and gives room for the cover when closed, but is thin enough not to be an issue when using the keyboard and it isn't so top heavy that the keyboard still remains flat while typing. One reviewer mentioned that the cutouts for the speaker grill at the bottom of the iPad near the charging port are longer than they need to be but it doesn't detract from the good looks of this case. I actually did not notice it until I read it in their review. I feel like this is a great choice if you are going to use the apple keyboard, want a holder for the Apple Pencil, would like a case that still shows off the beauty of your iPad while offering protection, fits nicely inside a bag and doesn't add much weight to the iPad. We bought both colors available and they are both great looking. If I could change anything about the case it would be to make a slight adjustment to those speaker grill cutouts, and remove the letter "P" from the back of the case above the Apple logo. I think it takes away a little away from the crisp clean look, and it already discreetly says "Poetic" near the bottom where it says "iPad" and that looks pretty good there. That's a small complaint though, just being picky. I emailed them a couple times and they were quick to respond and I feel like I got great customer service in answering my questions and concerns. I had never heard of Poetic before purchasing these cases on a whim, but I would absolutely purchase these again, and what is more I will be looking at Poetic in the future for my next cases, for my phones as well as next iPads. Thanks for not only making a great case, but quickly fixing the first batch that had that small mistake. Satisfied and future customer!!

This case serves its purpose if: - you need a slim profile paired with the iPad Smart Cover or Smart Keyboard. - you need your Apple Pencil with you. - you don't need 300% rugged drop protection. This case is MEANT to be used in conjunction with the Smart Cover/Keyboard, hence why the one side of the case is open - it's for the Cover/Keyboard to connect to the iPad's Smart Connector (3 magnetic contacts). It baffles me that some reviews are dinging the product for what it's made to do. Although all corners are covered, keep in mind that if you really do drop your iPad, the Smart Cover/Keyboard might disengage from the iPad, and the free iPad edge won't be protected as a result. It would be nice to have a higher lip around the edges in case I don't want to have the keyboard attached and I end up putting my iPad facedown. This will also help with keeping the case on the iPad itself when I try to take the Pencil out of the holder. However, that will also compromise the auto wake/sleep function when unfolding/folding the case/keyboard so I understand why the case is designed this way. It wasn't clear from the pictures, but the inner lining of the case has micro dots throughout the back panel. The look doesn't bother me and it's really not too noticeable from afar but perhaps it might bother somebody else who's expecting a completely transparent case. Anyway, I really like this case because I like the slimness of it, while ensuring that it holds up to the usual wear and tear from tabletop placement and jostling in my purse/backpack. The transparency also showcases the color of the iPad really well, although I would prefer not to have a black rim surrounding the camera as well as the logo blatantly placed on the upper central portion of the case.
