This KVM switch installed easily and immediately worked perfectly with my two desktop systems and one monitor. It only comes with one USB slot, but I was able to plug a USB hub into this slot, which then allowed me to connect both my wireless keyboard/mouse and my webcam to the KVM . As a result I can use my mouse/keyboard and my webcam on both desktop systems. Note that even though there is no keyboard hotkey to switch between systems, I have no need for this because the remote button sits right next to my keyboard. I had previously tried a different KVM and ran into problems, so I am very pleased with this KVM.

I needed this to operate one keyboard, mouse, monitor and speaker system with two different Mac Pro computers and it worked perfectly. Push the button, and it switches without issue. About a 5 second delay for the monitor, but I have a feeling that may be the monitor “re-checking” the signal after being disconnected rather than a delay with the KVM switch. I had previously tried a different cheaper off-brand KVM which was super glitchy out of the box and almost never worked without having to physically unplug/replug the HDMI cable (which obviously defeats the purpose of a KVM switch). I even exchanged it for another one and it had issues too. After spending a little more on the IOgear KVM, those issues were all eliminated. This is a little on the pricier side, but I had another KVM made by IOgear about 15 years ago and it too worked perfectly too, so they just seem to make KVMs that work. If you’re having issues with the cheaper no-name KVM switches, it may be worth it to give this one a try.

Bought this KVM switch in order to be able to share keyboard, display, and mouse between personal, home computer and home-officed work computer and not have to have additional displays, keyboards, etc. So far, working great and as expected/hoped.

I would have given this a five because it seemed to work perfectly at first. However, I started to notice that the monitor connection at the Master switch seemed to lose connection as if it weren’t plugged in all the way. It seemed to get worse as I switched it between computers a few times until I lost the video connection altogether. I was very disappointed because I really want to switch between my old and new desktop as well as my laptop and new desktop. I intend to return it and hope that I receive one that works to perfection. I even bought new magnetic cable holders so that I could mount the switch on top of my desk and hide the cables.

Simple and reliable KVM supporting HD monitor resolution as well as being able to share all single peripherals necessary. Using USB Hub on top of KVM you can even share WebCam and a few other peripherals. ****Please note**** You should not, nor would you want to share all USB based peripherals.
