I've had this for a year & a half. Within the 1st 2 months, one of the side drawers were broken. The top compartment with the door that opens above your head, doesn't stay open so you have to hold it open while you're putting things in or taking them out. The back part of it is just a very thin piece of flexible plywood that easy comes off if you stuff things in the bottom cabinet or anywhere else. I wanted to love this but I'm already shopping for a new one. Not durable at all. If you're only looking to have something nice while it lasts, maybe 6 mths to a year, then this is for you. 5 stars overall because this cabinet was as advertised and suits my purposes. I was hesitant to buy this because of the extremely mixed reviews, but this was the only cabinet I could find that was the exact size and storage capability I was looking for while still within my price range, so I took a chance. Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase. SIZE and WEIGHT: The dimensions and weight were as indicated. PARTS: All parts were accounted for. The boards were clearly labeled with letter stickers. The hardware was indeed all jumbled together in a single bag, but the instructions included a key with pictures. CONDITION: All pieces arrived in good condition. There was some minor discoloration on a couple boards, but no scratches or dents or anything major. QUALITY: It is laminated, decently sturdy particle board with ok quality hardware. Based on my experience, this quality is pretty standard for furniture at this price point: meaning, something that is functional and will do the job but is not winning any awards. INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions were intense, but it’s a complicated piece of furniture with a lot of parts, so to be expected, I think. The first couple pages were an inventory of all of the parts and an eagle-eyed view of how the pieces will fit together, the next few pages were instructions on attaching hardware to some of the boards, and the last few pages were a step-by-step guide to attaching the boards together. Each page has a picture key with all of the hardware needed to complete that step. Some of the guidance took a little deciphering. As long as I paid attention to which piece was which and how things were oriented/facing, it was straightforward enough. (For context, I have no background in carpentry or any related skill; my skill/experience in this area amounts to assembling maybe 3 or 4 other pieces of particle board furniture over the last decade.) As someone else noted, the key to properly attaching the cabinet doors is the middle screw. It needs to be threaded through BOTH pieces of the hinge, otherwise the doors are going to be crooked and/or have a gap. ASSEMBLY TIME: Finishing the cabinet took me several days, but that’s because as I assembled I covered all the boards in black wood grain contact paper. (I wanted a black cabinet but couldn’t find one in my price range that was the correct size and storage capability, so I improvised.) I would estimate actual assembly time was maybe 4-5 hours (just me, no assistance). Which yeah, is a time sink, but it’s not like I have to do it more than once. FINAL IMPRESSION: It fits where I want it to, has the storage capability I need, seems decently sturdy, and looks very nice. I do think the wood grain contact paper makes it look fancier than it otherwise would, but if you’re looking for a piece of white furniture there was nothing wrong with the white laminate. I have been assembling many furniture items the past month. The rule of thumb is you get what you pay for and this is not an exception.     • Decent for the price
This cabinet is decent for the price. It’s small but big enough to store all the stuff I need it for. Building this is basically like building something for ikea. There is no instructions just a list of the stuff that the package is suppose to come with. Luckily my husband is good at building stuff so he was able to assemble it. It did take about 4,5 hrs to assemble. The wood is cheap and the nails it comes with makes it dirty. By the time my husband finish building this there was black marks from when he was holding the pieces and nailing it together. Also the wood is so cheap one side crack already but it’s not bad enough to be notice. A lot of reviews says bad things about this cabinet but since it got 4/5 stars from over 1,000+ buyers I took my chance and it’s perfect for what I need it for.     • Good cabinet
I read the reviews for the cabinet and purchased it anyway. Make sure you check the measurements and are willing to accept the flaws before you buy. Pros: 1. Sturdy, read lots of comments about how it is weak, I am not experiencing that. Once the back was on properly there cabinet was as sturdy as the one it replaced. 2. Versatile, looks of storage space. I was able to move most of the items I had on my old cabinet over, there is ample storage space and clean lines. Cons: 1. Legs instead of wheels. This cabinet needs wheels. It is huge and when in place on the legs you can not clean under it thoroughly. I purchased 5 mid-weight canisters from the orange box store adding the fifth to the center of the cabinet. This distributed the weight and added the mobility the cabinet needs 2. The cabinet is narrow. I can not ding the manufacture for this, the measurements are posted on the web page, but the cabinet will not hold a full size microwave, don't even try it. I have my smaller cutting boards on it. Large cook books will poke out so that is something else to consider. Before you purchase make sure this will fit your measurement requirements. 3. Doors and Draws. The bottom doors have a gap, they do not fully close together which causes the draws not to fully close. I have to open the door on the side where the draws are in order to close the draws fully, not sure why that is. I changed the doors around but that does not correct the problem.
