I ordered and received these pants first in black and then brown and navy. All fit the same, with one exception I will describe. The black pair and the navy pair fit with a slight roomy feel to the waist. I wore the black pair and the roominess in the waist wasn't a problem, in other words the pants
stayed up and where they are supposed to be. The brown pair arrived with the pockets machine sewn shut! I don't think I could rip the stitches out and not leave holes the way it was sewn, so I will wear them this way. I noticed, with the pockets sewn shut, the waist is a little more snug, which I prefer, so I will keep the brown pair, even though they are defective. (The sewn line is very heavy-duty, not like when you get a blazer with the jacket pocket slip stitched shut.) I might add the pants, in all colors, were very comfortable and have a lovely look. The fabric looks nice for the workplace. I bought size 14 petite short. I am 5'1" and normally wear a size 12, but the size chart suggested I order a 14 petite. The waist was a little roomy.
