I had been having weird gremlin problems in my motorcycle like a starter that would hesitate or keep going long after I had stopped pressing the button. After discussing the problems on a motorcycle forum, they suggested testing the battery before looking at purchasing a starter. My first tester said the budget no-name battery was good and a higher quality tester said otherwise. I decided to buy a brand name and Interstate has always been a brand my father trusted. Since buying this battery, I haven't had a single problem with my motorcycle. Spend the extra few dollars and buy a name brand. The budget batteries do not last.

Arrived quickly, Very well protected packaging, very easy to install acid, I only obtain about 2 years of service out of a motorcycle battery, I am hoping this Interstate Battery, is like the last one that came with a vehicle, it lasted longer than the vehicle did ! I purchased a new battery tender for this bike and battery, time will tell !

Absolutely the worst battery i have ever purchased! Purchased this Interstate battery in March or 2023 for my Suzuki, used it literally less than 12 times to start my bike for the season as i dont ride alot. The battery was plugged into a smart charger when not in use to keep the battery healthy. When i stored the bike for the winter (battery worked fine) i always remove the battery, put in my basement, and keep it on a smart charger. Come spring of this year 2024 i put the battery in the bike and it struggles to start the bike, but it starts. A couple weeks later i go to start the bike and the battey will barely crank the engine over. The battery has completely failed in less than 15 attempts to use it. The worst part is, I sent an email asking if there was any warranty/ guarantee and they tell me go to an Interstate battery dealer. If i could do that i wouldnt have gone to Amazon for an Interstate motorcycle battey. This is absolutely unacceptable and i would not recommend anyone purchase Interstate motorcycle batteries. Much easier to get a $60 Walmart battery and get atleast 2 to 3 seasons out of it.

I prefer the DIY activation over factory activated power sports batteries. Don’t have to worry about getting a battery that’s been sitting activated on a shelf for months or more. I activated it per the instructions, let it sit for 4 hours to reach room temp and ensure complete saturation, then left it connected to my NOCO genius 1 for 24 hours. Rested voltage reading 6 hours after charging is 13.32v. Installed on my TRX250TM and it fired right up. Will circle back to comment on longevity, as the true test comes this winter when it’ll get exposed to single digit and sub-zero temps, but I don’t expect any issues.

I use interstate batteries in anything I have that needs a battery, car, truck, tractor, lawnmower, motorcycle and this one, cytx12-bs, is for a 4-wheeler ATV. In my pass work years, I owned and operated an auto service for thirty plus years. I sold interstate batteries and others, with interstate batteries giving the least issues. I highly recommend interstate batteries. I have an interstate battery with confidence in everything I own. Thanks for the opportunity to write this review.

This is actually the YUASA YTX12-BS battery which I could have bought off Amazon for $83.63, but mistakenly trusted Interstate and paid $20 more. I couldn't even find a listing for a warranty on Interstate's website. Hopefully it will last, but I am definitely re-thinking my trust of Interstate. FYI - The Yuasa version is Amazon's ID B000WK4CS4

Initially I didn’t like that the acid was outside the battery, and I needed to put it in. But once it came in it was way easier than I expected. I bought this one to replace a cheaper option I had tried before and I am so happy that I paid the extra money to get this one, it has held up great over time.

This is the second one I've owned and once again it didn't last two years. I even had it maintained with a battery tender and started the bike every 2 days during winter season. Despite having great experience with Interstate batteries, in my opinion, they're great lasting up to 7 years on my cars but is an example of disappointment on motorcycles.
