I was very surprised that this is actually a much better value than the Tractor Supply "Stack-On" cabinets, since it has a keypad and soft rifle barrel holders. So long as your package arrives without any damage to the thin metal, this is a very good buy if you're looking for a gun cabinet. I was attracted by the price. I needed a safe to protect toddler from accidentally finding my firearms. From that perspective, I am satisfied. Compared to higher end safes, it’s pretty flimsy. I would compare the structure to a more rugged metal filing cabinet. I don’t trust that it will protect valuables from fire or water damage. The shelf inside is also useless if you own any rifles which is too bad because I would like to use it. The lock is great and the overall look of the safe is nice. It's Amazon, so you know you're getting a Chinese product. Set your expectations accordingly, and you'll do fine. Pros- -Priced to sell. -It does what it promises, which is to provide a secure place to store weapons. It won't keep the lockpicking lawyer out, but it will keep the kids out. -The door pockets are nice and convenient. Cons- -Flimsy sheet metal that makes loud war-drum like noises during moving and assembly. Don't try to put this together while your neighbors are sleeping. -The small shelves that sit on the corners are a cruel joke. They couldn't be bothered to bend the tabs at the factory, and they want you to grab pliers and bend the tabs yourself, causing imperfect and misaligned bends that causes the shelves to pop out. These are best thrown away, and other creative uses of the panels should be considered. -The instructions suck. They're just poorly drawn pictures with no written instructions. You have to look for VERY subtle clues that tell you which direction certain panels are supposed to be oriented in. -The foot pegs that were included are not for the model of safe I purchased. The instructions call for a different set. -The interior side panels they included are unnecessarily difficult to install because they call for sheet metal screws instead of using machine screws with a welded nut. The pre-drilled holes for the machine screws were not aligned properly. -The 10-12 gun storage is misleading. It's more like 6-7 long guns with 4 pockets for pistols. ... show more

Safe is very nice. Pretty easy to build, but the locking mechanism broke after my guns were placed inside and now, I will have to call a locksmith to come over and somehow open the safe so I can retrieve my firearms again. They will probably have to cut into the safe to get them out. Good safe, quality control and locking system sucks. The workers need to do a better job building it.. I wouldn’t call this a safe, the metals pretty thin, so wouldn’t stop any professionals. But it will keep your guns out of children’s hands or an opportunist. Found it easy to assemble light enough to move on your own. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a cabinet.

Putting it together wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done.. probably took me 20 minutes. Once together, setting up the pin and fingerprint were easy. It seems to recognize my fingerprint fine. Had a few others try to get in and they were denied. I've been needing to get one to store my guns in for awhile to keep them locked up, and this does the job nicely for a lot less than what I thought I'd be spending. I will later on buy a more heavy duty one, maybe a bit bigger as my collection grows, but for now this is awesome for what I paid for it. ... show more

The shipment arrived early and was considerately delivered under the carport on a misty day. I assembled yesterday. I took 5 hrs to assemble and install with bolts to the wall but I still have to do the biometrics. There was one side panel with a slight bend, but I was able to bend that back and get the needed alignment. The main complaint I have is the lack of any written instructions on assembly. The pictures are barely adequate, and the parts could have had a sticker on them to identify. A link to a youtube type video of an assembly would have been greatly appreciated. Overall the safe will provide the level of security I need at a reasonable cost for less than a days worth of labor. ... show more
