Description

The Intact quick access fingerprint large safe features an industry leading biometric touch activated keypad module. Quickly and conveniently access the safe with your finger or passcode, no keys needed. The next-gen capacitive biometric sensor is quicker and more accurate than older optical scanning sensors. This innovative technology uses a solid capacitive sensor to instantly read and encrypt a user's fingerprint with a proprietary biometric algorithm. This safe is built solid and strong with an all steel construction of 1.5mm body and 3mm door thickness. This tall personal vault style design is perfect for storing valuables such as laptops, medicine, cameras, jewelry and handguns. This safe includes a mounting hardware that allows users to bolt the safe to a wall or cabinet. The biometric sensor is powered by 4 AA batteries (included) which can last up to 2 years with regular use. The safe also includes a backup power pack that can power the safe externally. For a third traditional access option each safe includes a set of laser cut keys that can be inserted in a hidden lock access point under the magnetized name plate. Once the safe is unlocked a turn of the safe’s round module will retract the solid steel deadbolts allowing the door to be opened. This safe also includes unique features such as a silent access mode, internal LED light, one removable shelf and soft lined interior. This safe is not water or fire proof rated. All Intact safes included a limited lifetime warranty.

Ok so, we bought this safe to safe guard some items at home instead of the safety deposit box at the bank. We figured in the end it would take about 4 years to recover our money by doing this. So the package arrived, it took about a week. We unboxed it and began to set it up. I found watching the video online more helpful then the written instructions, I would then refer to the instructions incase I forgot something (lol who does that). So I setup the fingerprint, the pin, and the alarm. All went well. But when I would close the door and turn the knob to lock it, it would not lock or take a very long time to lock. I removed the inside panel and took a look, I found the locking mechanism was faulty. So anyway I had contacted Intact prior to my discovery and the entire time they where very quick with there replies and helping out with the issue. I had also posted a few questions about the safe, which the replies where very quick as well. As for the quality of the safe, it seems well built. So in the end they had me return the safe and right now I am waiting for it to arrive. They are going to replace the safe for me. I will update this when they replace the safe. ... show more

    • The light inside is not so great.
I like most things about the safe… but the light on the inside is pretty terrible. It’s barely bright, and only stays on a few seconds…. Meh

    • Instructions SUCK and none for wall bolting hardware!
Am sorry but, I been a carpenter for 30 years and never seen wall mounting hardware like what's included so I was looking forward to instructions on how to install the bizarre looking hardware to bolt to wall. There is none further more instructions step one: was just fricken confusing it bypass's other needed steps further down on a different page. I kept doing everything it said it just was not working. Then what's worse the alarm on it starting going off hurting my damn ears. Which is great if trying to stop someone from getting in a fricken nightmare if you are the owner with sensitive hearing and trying to set up the password/fingerprint. Needless to say its STILL not set up everyday I try to work on it a bit more to figure it out but, I get a headache. Also came damaged some of the black paint is chipped off a upper front corner am just gonna put black nail polish over it and call it a day. Will update my rating if things change. ... show more

The safe seems to work as advertised, however the instructions leave a lot to be desired. In the product description it mentions a "silent mode". When pressing the buttons or biometric sensor, the safe beeps. This may not be desirable in a home invasion situation. The instructions DO NOT mention anything about a silent mode option. On top of this, there is absolutely no customer service or company contact information included with the instructions or packaging! The Intactsafes.com website has no contact information either! This is completely unacceptable. ... show more
