Considering price, ease of installation, and sound deadening, this is my favorite underlayment. This underlayment does a good job of isolating the tile from the subfloor. I've used this product for several remodeling jobs where I installed large-format tile over wood, gypcrete, and concrete subfloors. I have *never* had a cracked tile when I used this underlayment. That honestly surprises me, because I've encountered some pretty ratty subfloors that had caused significant cracking in the old tiles. This underlayment also has the best sound-isolation of any that I've tried. I often install tile on second-floor condominiums with wood framing, and this underlayment gives better sound isolation to the downstairs unit than competing sound-isolating underlayments made of foam or plastic. (Advice for people shopping for sound-isolating underlayment: don't believe manufacturer's claims; they're generally just marketing babble.) ... show more

I used this on pathways my dog walks in the house to prevent him from slipping on our tile floors. He has arthritis and is unstable on slippery surfaces. This is perfect! Not necessarily the best looking thing, but certainly less expensive than carpet runners!

The quality of this product has gone down but the price is still the same as before. The tear resistance of the new product is poor compared to the same brand product that I bought from a retail store at the same price in 2018. That makes it difficult to install.
