I've used Thermos brand tumblers forever. They work great! But eventually the lids break. And I can't find replacement lids. So I was looking for something a little cheaper and with a lid that I thought would be more durable. This fits the bill! The lid has a fairly simple design. I put cream in my coffee, so I always want to make sure it's washed really well. Sometimes the complexity of a thermos lid made that difficult. This lid is much more straightforward. I like the rubber gripper on the outside. And that it seems to be coated in plastic. Should make it stand up to the dishwasher better. It seems fairly leak proof. I wouldn't just close it up and throw it in a gym bag! But in terms of it not splashing when it's sitting in the drink holder of my car, it's perfect. My only complaint is it doesn't appear to be quite as insulating as the thermos. But it does do a fairly decent job. And I guess you get what you pay for.

I really like this coffee tumbler design for several reasons. The first is how it keeps my coffee hot to the last sip. I nurse my cup of coffee and enjoy it slowly. This means I need it to stay hot a lot longer than most people. This tumbler does exactly what I need it to do! The other reasons it is my favorite mug is the secure lid that screws on and the flip lid that can’t be accidentally opened when carrying in my backpack (water bottle pocket). But most importantly, whenever I have dropped it, and I have several times, the lid stays closed! The grip band around the middle of the mug makes it easy to grasp and hold.
