Regarding the Invisible Cold Shoe: it is indeed designed specifically for Rode mics. While the info was technically there, I believe it wasn't prominent enough for a quick purchase. After sharing this, the Insta360 team (shoutout to Eddie) took my feedback seriously and confirmed they would update the product description to make this clearer for the community. Despite the initial confusion, the support team reached out with a genuine solution. They even sent a complimentary gift to me in Holland, managing the international logistics perfectly since I wasn't in the US at the time. This level of dedication to customer satisfaction is world-class. Performance & Learning Curve: I’ll be honest—the learning curve for both the hardware and the app is real. It takes some time to get used to the workflow. However, now that I’ve spent more time with it, the results are incredible. I’m capturing amazing shots that simply wouldn't be possible with other gear. Yes, it requires some patience to master, and you should double-check specific accessory compatibility, but the output quality and the support team behind the product make it 100% worth it. Brand new user and had no trouble learning the software. This cam is amazing and clear. Add the 10' stick and you have a drone shot that follows you everywhere. The new firmware update added some even greater tools that I wash i had for my first trip but now it's game on.

The media could not be loaded. I love it! Absolutely worth it if you do any action sports or even just vacations and traveling. Videos are crisp 4k and editing is super easy. I’m a complete new creator and I figured it out quick. It even has a AI edit that does a great job editing videos itself. Battery does drain fast like a hour or so. It’s a really high tech piece of kit with a lot of features like star lapse and time shift. I takes videos of me riding on my electric unicycle and hyper scooter and makes them highly dynamic with really sweet angles and great sense of speed. A+ piece of kit.

I love this camera! The video quality is outstanding, and the BMW edition looks awesome. The mobile app is easy to use, though the Insta360 Studio app still doesn’t support ARM64 on Windows. Overall, a fantastic experience!

The media could not be loaded. If you are reading this review, you already know you are going to buy this great camera. I was basically waiting for a good price and I am a proud owner now. There is a learning curve for learning to film and edit, but it's so much fun to watch the finished videos that you really don't mind. I have been lucky enough to meet some other great content creators and I am learning more from them and my X5 every day.

This camera is an amazing device. It shoots 360 degrees in 8K and can easily be edited with a simple free application on your phone of PC device. The video is outstanding and even better than my DJI Drone. The fact you can take one video and edit it into many different views save time and effort in taking different shots. Very well made and with many options for mounting, charging and protecting the camera. It is all very high quality and worth the money. I have basically tossed my go pro as this is the next generation of cameras with lots of application shooting perspectives to choose from. X5 Appears to be the best out there right now.

I'll edit this review if I can get it working, but it's broken. It turned on long enough to initiate setup/connect to WiFi, and then it died. I assumed it was out of battery, since it had come right out of the box. But after charging it overnight, it won't turn back on. The green LED blinks when it is connected to a charger, but that's it. No other functionality. Edit: I bought another charger just to ensure it wasn’t a user error and that doesn’t work either. I’m pissed. Edit: working on a refund. I bought another unit for my motorcycle trip and it works very well. It was nice of manufacturer to reach out to me, too Final edit (?): good customer service. They offered to send me a replacement, and when I told them I had returned it and bought another X5 that I was happy with, they said they would send me a lens replacement kit and free battery.
