STUNNING 1 INCH SENSOR OPTICS PAIRED WITH INCREDIBLE EASE OF USE
TL;DR: While the dual Leica lenses, 1 inch sensor, and long battery life deliver fantastic video quality in both bright sun and low light, what really stands out is how effortless this camera is to use. The detachable 2 inch touchscreen makes framing shots from any angle super easy and fun! 🎬 As someone who usually hauls heavy Canon R5 Mark II rigs for stock video work, grabbing this Insta360 Luna Ultra has been a breath of fresh air for quick handheld shooting for both work and travel. The optical performance from the 1 inch sensor and dual Leica lenses produces clean dynamic range in harsh midday sun and holds shadow detail shockingly well indoors without a ton of digital noise. Having up to 15x zoom alongside 8K capture gives huge framing flexibility, and the battery easily outlasts my typical afternoon shooting sessions. 🎬 What elevates this bundle into a fantastic value is how ridiculously easy it is to use compared to traditional cinema bodies and other vlog style cameras alike. Popping off the 2 inch wireless touchscreen lets me set the camera on my pergola table or studio riser and frame myself without walking back and forth, though 8K files will chew through slower microSD cards the quality is amazing. 💡 PRO TIP: Stick the camera base to a magnetic metal surface up high and keep the detachable 2 inch screen in your pocket as a live director monitor to trigger candid time lapses and B roll at family events without drawing camera shy stares. THE TAKEAWAY It packs serious 1 inch sensor and optics and solid battery life into the most user friendly vlogging form factor I have ever used. LOVE IT! As an exclusive contributor to a prominent stock media agency with 25 years of experience in freelance photography and videography, I offer informed and professional opinions of camera and video equipment. I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. ★★★★★ (5 Stars): A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Very impressive pro-level camera with outstanding video and still pictures!
This a pro-level very capable camera. First, the case does a good job protecting the camera and lenses. The detachable battery pack is a great feature if I need to hot swap batteries. It has a decent amount of on-board storage if my SD card gets full, or I forget to put it back in (happened once already). The removable screen is a handy feature, that I have used a few times already. The image quality for still pictures and video is absolutely stunning. As someone who is old enough to remember when video cameras were huge and bulky and provided sub-par videos, this little thing is so impressive. The night video quality is mind blowing to me. It is lightweight and very portable. The zoom capability is something that has been sorely lacking in most vlog style cameras, and provides good images even at max zoom. The gimbal keeps the videos smooth and consistent. The battery lasts a lot longer then I would have expected with all the features this camera has. At first I thought the price was crazy high, but after I used this a few times I get why...it is pretty darn amazing. I've used action cameras and DSLRs for years, and have some pretty high end ones, but I keep picking this up to video things and to take pictures. The software and app are decent and work for quick projects, I use Final Cut Pro for more in depth projects. I recommend watching a few youtube videos on the features and play around with it before jumping in and using it, there are lots of options and features that take a little time to learn. There are loads of aftermarket accessories for it already which is great!

Absolutely Amazing
This has become my go-to for filming daily videos. The build quality of the camera is excellent. It actually feels more like a professional tool than a casual camera. Likewise, the image quality is absolutely amazing. The highlight roll-off when filming in log is on par with what you'd expect out of a full-frame camera. It's incredible to think that you're getting this type of footage from a small, one-inch sensor. Another reason this has become a camera I film with every day is the image stabilization. A small camera on a gimbal just looks so good - the footage is always super smooth even in low light. And speaking of low light - it really amazes me just how good this camera looks at night. I use the "Pure Video" (low-light) mode for really clean footage from blue hour well into nighttime. And just a tip - Pure Video is adjustable. By default, it's set to high sharpness, contrast and saturation, but you can lower all of those and get video that looks much more professional. Overall, I've just been so happy with this camera. It's an excellent value for the money. Highly recommended.

This Insta360 Luna Ultra is the best vlogging kit in 2026 with a price to match
The Insta360 Luna Ultra is the best vlogging camera you can buy now in 2026. The Ultra is one level up from the Luna Pro because it has the additional telephoto lens. You may not think you need a telephoto lens, but once you used it, you will realized how you managed to live without it ! The telephoto lens let you film yourself or your subject from much further away -- less conspicuous. With the auto tracking, this makes a great vlogging camera for shooting b-rolls and scenery. The detachable control pad is really nice. When it was first released, the video quality on the control pad is bad once it is detached, but a recent firmware release fixed it. The control pad has a built in mic that you can use as a handheld mic as well. The only bad design decision with this camera is the little fold out wire legs at the bottom. They are so flimsy. I immediately replace it with my standard quick release set of connecdtions and use a much studier small base to hold the camera. This is a worthwhile upgrade.

The absolute best ultra portable video/photography camera with a gimble on the market today
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Essential Bundle is an excellent option for vloggers, content creators, and anyone who wants to capture high-quality videos on the go. The 8K recording capability promises impressive detail, making it appealing for travel videos, daily vlogs, and social media content. I used the camera in 4k 16x9 mode for a recent cruise we took. The footage is stable, clean, crisp and the audio is clear and very usable. The bundle is especially attractive for creators looking for a convenient all-in-one setup. Its compact, portable design makes it easy to take along on adventures, while the high-resolution video capability offers plenty of creative possibilities for capturing memorable moments. This camera bundle is a perfect choice for anyone looking to step up their content creation game. It combines portability with ambitious video capabilities, making it worth considering for both aspiring and experienced vloggers. PLEASE NOTE: At the time of this review, the latest firmware upgrade which provides massive upgrades to the camera was not installed from the factory. Once you install the app on your phone or tablet and connect the camera, the app will immediately tell you there is a firmware upgrade ready. Install that upgrade and then you will have the full 15x zoom. Any firmware level BELOW 1.1.15 does not have the updated features and improvements including the 15x zoom. After a month or so, I would expect all New In Box Luna Ultra's to come already equipped with the latest 1.1.15 or higher firmware. Lastly..the app. It works, it isn't buggy, but it is not what I would call a camera first app. Its more of a social media/content creator/shopping app that happens to have a decent camera control section. I hope Insta360 provides a separate camera only app in the future for streamlining purposes. The video included in this review was taken using the built in time lapse feature. It is super simple to setup and use.

Excellent Image Quality in a Vlogging Style Camera
I have used several compact gimbal cameras before, and the Luna Ultra felt like a noticeable step up in both image quality and flexibility. I used it for walking videos, travel clips, and a few indoor shots, and the stabilization kept everything looking smooth without much effort. The camera delivered the sharp detail and strong dynamic range I was hoping for, while the zoom gave me more framing options than I usually get from a camera this size. What stood out most was the detachable touchscreen, since it made solo filming and awkward camera angles much easier to manage. The controls took a little time to explore because there are so many features, but once I got familiar with them the camera was very enjoyable to use. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a premium compact camera for travel, vlogging, or creating polished video without carrying a larger setup.

Absolutely a Real Winner here... Best Point & Shoot camera in the market!!!!
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Essential Bundle - 8K Vlogging Camera with 15× Zoom hands down has to be one of the best "Point & Shoot" cameras on the market. First off... I'm a Insta360 camera guys all the way... I just recently purchased the Insta360 X6 and I thought that was the best and in it own right is... What makes this Insta360 Luna better is the Low Light Capabilities. I do Vlogs all the time... especially haunted house with limited to very little lighting. This camera is superior by far to any other camera I've owned and used in low light. In the (Pure Video) mode you can film at 4K / 60fps while most others are only at 30fps with that alone that is a huge win for me. There are so many other fantastic features that this camera can and will do for you... But "Low Light" is what I'm always looking for. The video stability is above and beyond, it feels great in the hands and easy quick function features that can be set manually as well. So far I ran it for about an hour with some high setting to get the best low light footage and the battery held up pretty good. Now don't get me started on the 15X's Zoom... With lots of point and shoot cameras you really don't get a zoom... some might give you up to 2X's but this 15X's zoom is a game changer and the clarity is spectacular. It comes with I believe it was 47Gig of internal storage... You can use a Micro SD card to expand your storage space if needed. The Luna connected to the APP flawlessly and immediately updated... Like I said Insta360 has earned my respect as being an influencer I go through cameras like bubblegum...and This Insta360 Luna bundle set is by far the best camera I've used to date when it comes to ease of use and low light videos. I could go on and on about this camera and other Insta360 camera variations, best thing I can say is get you one... you'll be amazed. I totally, positively, and highly recommend the Luna!!!
