I really wanted to love the Insta360 GO Ultra. The image quality is good, the form factor is clever, and for casual POV moments it could be the perfect wearable camera. But as someone who actually paid cash for this thing, I feel like I’ve been stiffed. The biggest problem? Mounting. There’s no standard ¼-20 tripod mount on the Action Pod. That means if you want to use this on a tripod, GoPro mount, or any serious setup, you’re forced into Insta360’s proprietary mounts. These accessories are expensive, and worse, they’re sold out everywhere. Influencers online are showered with all the mounts and extras for free, but paying customers at launch can’t even buy the basics we need. Yes, you get a pendant, a clip, and a safety cord in the box, but those only go so far. If you actually want to use this in flexible real-world ways, you’re stuck waiting for overpriced accessories that may not even be available. It feels like buying a premium camera and being told: “sorry, you can’t really use it properly unless you spend another $50–$100 on mounts that we don’t have in stock.” For $449, this should have shipped with at least one tripod-ready mount in the box. Instead, Insta360 nickel-and-dimes its customers while courting influencers with free gear. Until they fix their accessory strategy, I can’t recommend this camera to everyday buyers. Oh and good luck getting that safety quick release in those tiny holes took me over 20 mins and I almost dropped the camera a few times. Seems as if Insta360 only care about influencers and not paying customers.

I have not received my refund. Item was ordered on 09/01, delivered on 09/03, returned on 09/07 through UPS and received and confirmed by tracking # at your return facility on 09/10. The refund has not been issued and it is 09/29. Now why was it returned? My own 1TB $100 SD card was not able to be ejected properly from this camera because the spring inside was malfunctioning. We have tried to gently push down on the SD card multiple times, however there wasn't any strength from the spring to release the SD card, which ultimately led to a return. & we couldn't force anything out because of the compact size of the camera. I would not recommend this camera nor insta 360s products with all of these problems. I didn't even have a chance to use the camera from the start. Please refund my money.

The device will refuse to work until "activated" which requires an ios app (or android) so it doesn't work if you don't have a smart phone. Why you have to "activate" something you have paid money for is a mystery. Also, it comes with firmware that won't talk to the phone, so you have to go do random stuff to load the firmware. This product is NOT usable or ready out of the box. That is incomptent.

I would give zero stars if I could, product was not what I expected. I have returned the items Sept 6th it has been in there possession since sept 8th. I was suppose to receive a credit sept 19th. I still have no credit. I have a video proof with of my returning items at the facility with the exact way I received it. Contacted customer service and they wanted me to created a case for an item they have in their possession already! And I left my SD card in there that they are to refund me as well. It’s not worth the large money and headache for this device. Dji action 5 is worth better quality and cheaper!

Very hard to set up very complicated and out of the box gets way overheated I do not recommend, I cannot imagine taking this mountain biking, or any kind of outdoor with sun will definitely way overheats
