As someone completely new to gimbals, this is actually the first (and only) one I've ever owned and I can't recommend the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Creator Bundle enough. I picked it up specifically because it's one of the only (if not the only) gimbals fully compatible with Apple's DockKit, and wow, it delivered way beyond my expectations. I took this to the 2026 NAMM Show (“National Association of Music Merchants) and used it constantly across several days, filming booth walkthroughs, artist interviews, gear demos, and quick vlogs around the convention floor. The AI-powered tracking (via DockKit) was seamless in the native iPhone Camera app and the third-party Insta360 app, keeping subjects perfectly framed even in crowded, fast-moving environments. The 360° pan tracking and free tilt mode made dynamic shots effortless, and the foldable design with built-in tripod/selfie stick meant I could go from handheld to mounted in seconds, no extra gear weighing me down. The remote control found on the stick was super easy to use. I had completely forgotten to read the manual first, but found the gimbals operation to be easy. The Insta360 app is also super useful to remind you on the go which buttons do what, and how to access more features by long pressing, double-pressing, and triple-pressing buttons. The only thing I didn’t immediately notice at first was the zoom wheel that surrounds the perimeter of the remote. So for the first day and a half, I was using the buttons on my screen to do that, which wasn’t a big deal. The controls are on the phone screen should you forget. But alas, I found the zoom wheel later, which was pretty awesome. One sudden flick of the wheel jumps the zoom between my iPhone’s .5, 1, 2, and 3 zooms. Or gently pushing up or down on the wheel gradually adjusts the zoom. Super cool. Speaking of the phone's display, I found it amazing that - using the Insta360 app, I could draw boxes over the subjects I wanted to film, having the gimbal then follow them/it, making it super easy to stay on point. Or, but simply squeezing the trigger button, it would find the most centered head in the shot to then follow. This function made filming quick and with little effort. The MagSafe adapter included in the Creator Bundle was a total lifesaver for quick, secure mounting on my iPhone. It made setup instant and rock-solid, which is a huge win for anyone filming handheld or on the go. Plus, another cool thing about the MagSafe mount is the flip out kickstand for leisurely watching back my captured footage during the occasional break. I got tons of compliments throughout the show. People kept stopping me to ask what gimbal I was using because the motions looked so smooth and professional, in addition to me not showing any fatigue for holding it up as long as I’d been doing. It was an absolute blast to use; every clip came out cinematic without any shaky footage. Battery life held up great all day, but on those longer sessions when my iPhone started running low, the included USB-C charging cable let me top it up without stopping. And the built-in spotlight (with adjustable brightness and lumens) was clutch for adding just the right fill light during indoor booths or evening events - super handy and way better than relying on phone flash. The whole Creator Bundle feels premium and thoughtful: everything you need is right there, no hunting for extras. For iPhone creators (especially those leveraging DockKit for native tracking in 200+ apps), this is hands-down the best gimbal out there right now: Portable, powerful, and genuinely fun to use. If you're on the fence, just go for it. You won't regret it! My only suggestion for Insta360 is to let the MagSafe mount charge iPhones without the need of a cable. In addition, offer removable gimbal batteries just to help keep everything topped up during long filming sessions. Don’t get me wrong - that’s not me rattling off a list of complaints in the slightest. But maybe for the Flow 3 Pro, that could be amazing. This review was an easy 5 out of 5 stars from me, completely worth every penny as it transformed my content creation experience at The Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA and beyond!

I am new to gimbals. I have ordered three in the last week and each one had a big enough issue for me that I decided to keep looking. This one is the one though! Here's what I love about it: 1) It is compact when both opened and closed so easy to store and easy to carry. You can see in in my photo that it fit easily into my husband's shorts pocket with the phone bracket attached (no phone) so it should easily fit into a smaller bag for carrying out to a touristy site or on a hike. 2) It is easy to set up and my phone easily balances with the case. One gimbal I purchased would balance my phone, but not with the case. 3) The tripod self stores so no carrying around a detachable tripod. You can still attach the gimbal to a sturdier taller tripod if needed. 4) 360 degree panorama. This was important to me and the reason I returned a strong competitor to this gimbal who only offered 270 degrees. 5) It does solid object tracking both by picking up when people, animals, and objects are moving around the area and also picking them up when they come back into the shot. 6) The app is easy to use and with my iPhone it recognizes it immediately for easy connection. If there is a con to this one that I do not like, it is that the app on the Osmo 6 might be a little easier to use overall. I returned the Osmo 6 due to the 270 degree panorama, but felt it is a solid option if not for that.

I don't write many reviews, but I will if something blows me away or I think is a good deal. I have tried the Hohem isteady M6 and the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 and returned both. The Osmo Mobile was heavily forcing use of their own app for recording and their app was required for tracking, and I did not like the range of motion, it was limited. The Hohem did not fit my iPhone 16 pro very well (which was weird because it definitely should not have been an issue per specs) and had a swivel error right away, plus was way more expensive than the others because of a stupid separate camera it was using for tracking, also nonintuitive overall design (too many useless features). This time I did more research and looked for reviews online for gimbals that were compatible (or said to be compatible by users) with the iPhone 16 Pro and Insta360 Flow Pro came up, and this one is not in the top hits if you just search for a gimbal compatible with iPhone 16 Pro on Amazon. It turned right away and worked right away, plus no extra crap I will never use. Even more importantly you can use your iPhone's native camera app to do the tracking. You just do an NFC pairing, which worked seamlessly, and then you point at what you want to track and your off to the races. Amazing. I love it so far. I literally just opened it so I haven't figured out how to swivel the camera from landscape orientation to portrait, but I'm sure I'll figure it out momentarily.

I thought I would use this more often, but so far I only used it once. It should also come with the mag safe plate, which it does not. I think a new version is out by now. I have it now for over a year I gues and still have not made videos with it. In principal this is a good item and works as advertised. It has some limits when going up and down. Works I gess good for bloggers that move. However, often just a stand is enough.
