  • Insta360 One X - worth every penny!
Style: Single
I did extensive review searches on all the 360 cameras on the market. The ones for the higher end retail market on my short list was the Ricoh Theta V and the Insta360 One X. I chose the One X because of the quality of the picture and there is some real estate walk through software that recommended this product. I shoot real estate photography but I'm always using my toys and equipment for fun use. I have had no complaints with this product. Out of the box it works just fine with the default settings. You can chose to shoot RAW and you can also control the other camera settings just like a normal camera. Auto works just as well. You do have to download the Insta360 app and connect to the device using your phone and direct WiFi. This is how you control the device and transfer pictures from the device to your phone. There is a NFC option but I have not used that yet. I have posted to Facebook with no issues but you can also post to YouTube, Instagram, and some direct posts. They also have their own 'Instagram' type service. You need to disconnect from the Insta360 to connect to that service if you are using an Android device (due to the whole inability to use WiFi and provider data at the same time). I didn't even break out the manual. Just ran through all the settings on the device and app. It's pretty intuitive. Super easy if you have a little IT background as well as photography background. I did get the bullet time bundle which I don't think I have any practical use for but I figured I would use that feature at some point. The battery life is pretty decent. I have not ran the battery down yet. I do recommend getting 1-2 extra batteries and a multiple battery charger if you plan on being a heavy user of the product. Reviews state the battery will last close to an hour. ... show more

  • Can get some slow rotating shots that the “string” Bullet Time accessory cannot.
Style: Single
A fun and useful thing to add to your X2 accessory bag. I suggest getting the pocket one (that uses the string) since you can carry that with your camera at all times. This kit is a selfie stick (which you can use standalone; it’s just a normal stick they also sell separately, it seems) and the rotating base tripod. The tripod base can be used on the bottom of a selfie stick (which is useful) or you can close it up and use it as the handle, and attach the selfie stick to the side mount. It’s heavier, but easier to see what it’s going to do versus spinning a string around. You can also do much slower rotations with this than you can with the string. I rarely use this kit (mostly the string one), but I am glad I have it for when I want to try something with it. ... show more

  • Solid quality
Style: Single
Bought this along with the insta360 and have mainly used the stick for snorkeling. My husband and I loved how light it was to carry around.

  • Sturdy!
Style: Single
The media could not be loaded. Ziptied it on my bike, so far so good. Its sturdy enough to survive the vibration and it locks up pretty good. Its also lightweight.

  • Good, but not great
Style: Single
The tripod legs could be longer and the locking mechanism that keeps it from spinning could hold tighter, but all in all this has worked pretty well. It falls over way more than it should when fully extended on even slightly uneven ground. But on level ground it's fine. And the locking part doesn't lock so well, so it wants to spin all the time, which is annoying but not much of an issue since the Insta360 camera itself is pretty compact and centered and doesn't really care if it's spinning, but it'd still be nice if it could lock in place better. all in all I use this a lot, and love using it to get the camera up over head. I love to affix it to me, or a bike or child or whatever, to get neat video from a vantage point you don't usually get. It's also handy to get the camera to the right height when I'm not holding it. I haven't used it for bullet time stuff yet, so I can't comment on that, but I"m sure it's good for that too. ... show more

  • MUST HAVE for anyone with a One R
Style: Single
You can think of this as a 3-in-1 kit for the Insta360 One R. It also works with any action camera or cell phone with the right attachments. 1) The Invisible Selfie Stick is sturdy and super high quality. 2) The Tripod / Handle is useful almost everywhere and usually in my pocket. 3) Bullet Time Mode. When you put the Handle and the Selfie stick together you get video magic. The screws are standard size and can accommodate most attachments. Let your imagination run wild! ... show more

  • Selfie stick good / Skip the tripod handle
Style: Single
I went in on the Handle & Selfie Stick bundle and am writing this review to hopefully better inform future shoppers. - Selfie stick works great, does the invisible thing no problem. - Tripod handle is expensive and does not do a good job as a tripod in my opinion. So you just got your insta360 and want to try everything out. OK bullet time is cool but you get a screw on a rope with the package. If you are going to mount the 360 directly on to the tripod I suppose it works fine but for $40 you can get much better tabletop tripods. Now for the disappointing part. I screwed the tripod on to the selfie stick and extended this stick so I could just prop the camera somewhere to record the action and found the tripod to be unstable and the legs too short to comfort me. It barely stayed up on its own. I had to watch to make sure it didn't fall. I found mini tripod legs on Amazon for under $10 that did a much better job as a tripod for my selfie stick. I wish I would have figured this out sooner and saved the $40 on the tripod and just got the selfie stick. So that is my advice to you. See if you even like bullet time with the included screw/rope. You can buy a bullet time without a handle for much less if you want to go that route. Otherwise, that handle tripod is going to be a useless and expensive thing that collects dust. I am going to try and sell mine since I will never use it again now that I got a steadier tripod for the stick. ... show more
