I’ve been targeting my bikini area and underarms for now until I go back to do my legs. I don’t have a high pain tolerance, so I do a level 7 on my underarms and level 5 on the bikini area. I’ve been doing IPL for about 6 months now and have had moderate success. My skin tone is medium with black hair so I should be a good candidate, over the six months I have seen a reduction in hair growth. For me it amounts to patchiness of hair rather than hair free. I’ve used 2 other IPL devices and this is the best one out of the 3. Here’s why: Power Settings - I don’t have any way to quantify this, but this device feels more powerful. I can get a good sting sensation out of this whereas some of the other devices I have don’t produce quite a zap. It should be noted that, there’s 10 levels of power here so if it becomes too much you can always dial it down. Design - I prefer the gun style grip to the candy bar style that is out there. To me it gives more precise control so that you can line up the aperture at a 90 degree angle. If you have lots of deep crevices this style may not work for you but I think it’s a good design for most. 5 stars on looks, it’s very well designed, with a hidden display and integrated safety lights. Functionality - It works the same as almost every other IPL device on the market. Power it on, wait the 1-2 seconds for it to charge then pull the trigger. If you’re covering large areas the 1-2 second charge cycle after each flash is annoying. I wish there was an IPL device that would fire immediately when repositioned, unfortunately this doesn’t do it. Accessories are standard - tinted glasses to protect your eyes from the flash and a throw away razor. Here are my nitpicks: Noise - noise, most of these are fan cooled, so you hear the little laptop fan inside whirring away. It’s hard to be discreet, not only will the flash bleed under closed doors and through drapes but the fan is constantly humming. Not a deal breaker Cord - I think there’s about 4-5 feet of power cord here. So plan on staying close to the outlet or buying an extension cord so you can use this in a comfortable position. I've been using an older laser hair removal device for years, but this is a big improvement! This is quick, painless (compared to other methods), and easy to use. I am wondering if mine has something loose inside, though, because it makes a terrible noise when it's running. The light works fine, and all else seems fine, but it's a really strange noise that is quite loud. I hope that's not what you get! Enjoy! ... show more

This INNZA IPL Hair Removal Device is Great! It's super easy to use, and I love the handle design of this hair remover. It takes commitment to see results or at least for me it has. I'm Italian/German and I have dark, thick hair. I have fought with hair removal my entire life. This is working but it has been a slow process for me to see results. I'm hopeful this will eventually stop my hair growth or majorly slow it down. It has an auto flash or manual flash. I use the auto flash on my legs and manual flash on my face. I definitely recommend this if your looking to slow the hair growth process. Great Value! ... show more

easy to hold- slim and light weight and the variable settings are nice. This model does not have the chilling mode which I do like in IPL's and is on the INNZA 2.0+ model- I would suggest upgrading to the INNZA 2.0+ personally.

I've never tried an IPL before but I’ve been curious for awhile. I was nervous about doing something wrong but once I tried it this device seems pretty straightforward. It comes with protective glasses and a razor. Even with the eye protection I was surprised at how bright the flashing was. I was worried that this would be really hot or burn my skin but it was totally painless. From what I understand it’s important to shave first because this will burn any hairs that are on the surface fo your skin and therefore burn your skin. As long as you shave before using it’s truly pain free. I’m going to continue using it twice a week and see how it works out. The device itself is comfortable to hold and easy to use. You can adjust the energy level - I started pretty low. And you can switch between manual or automatic flashing. I really like the digital display showing how many flashes are left in the device. If this number is accurate this device will last many years. I really like the pink color too. ... show more
