The set has everything a first-year percussion player in school band needs, and I recommend it, especially for the price, with a few caveats: 1. On first open the bag and set are super stinky- like put it outside omg stinky. After half a day in the sun it smelled less like manufactured vinyl. This far the bag has held up to middle school abuse :-) 2. The drumsticks included aren’t what I’d recommend for someone learning their first rudiments. They’re closer to 7A size / weight and I generally think 2B or 5B are easier to use. ... show more

    • Great bag of mallets!
Chose this product because it was on the school list of required supplies for beginner percussion. I can see why - everything you need and a great bag easy to carry every day. My child only wishes the bag were a bit bigger so he could stash his small practice pad in there too.
