They have been great to use over the winter, and heat up fairly quickly. Other than holding them, I also put them in my side pockets in my jacket to warm me up sometimes. I have use them mostly for hiking with my wife or when we travel to somewhere cold. They are great when traveling as you can use them to charge your phone. Each one is basically 1 full 0-100% phone charge. The curve in the makes them comfortable to carry in your hands. These are better than other model I tried. They are a little different in that they join via magnet, and the flat section does not mold to the hand as well. They do seem to hold a charge and get hot. The downside is you have to charge both sides individually. They do have two small USB cables, but if you don't have two ports you're stuck doing one at a time.
