Id give these 10 stars if I could. They saved me during a cruise during which I only wore dresses. Very comfortable, breathable, leg band stayed put, they did roll at the top but I wore an elastic belt directly atop them, that stopped it. I wasn't sure about the sizing- the hip measurement made me think they would be too small, but I was pleasantly surprised by the stretch and fit. These are super stretchy. They definitely aren't shapewear, but they do smooth out the jiggles a bit and provide a feeling of support. If you want that supported feeling, I'd say go down a size. I've worn them for an entire day under a flowy dress with no riding up or slipping down. Because of the stretch, I can put the waist of the shorts where I want it, which is great for comfort. The legs are pretty long - I'm 5'9" with very long thighs, and they come a few inches above my knee. If you're petite, these would probably work best with long dresses. I was concerned about dresses clinging to the shorts because they aren't the usual silky slip material I'm used to. They're a soft knit that has almost a texture of tights. Surprisingly the very light rayon dress I wore did not stick to them at all. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. They're comfortable, stay put, provide a slight bit of smoothing, and they don't stick to dresses. The only reason for subtracting a star is that as soon as I put them on there was a string dangling from one leg. I pulled on it and it kept pulling and pulling until I cut it off, so I'm a little concerned about how well they'll hold up. But getting 3 pairs for less than what I've paid for 1 pair from another brand makes that not a huge concern. ... show more

These are perfect for anti-chafe under dresses which is what I wanted. Fabric is true to size, stretchy and comfortable for the hot summer months. They are not shape-wear if that is what you're looking for. Compression is light.

I didn't get to test these as slip shorts, as upon first trying them on I found they were too loose. Kind of big in the waist. For reference I'm 5'4" 130 and carry most any extra weight in my hips and thighs. They didn't seem especially slippery, either, as I had hoped to prevent skirts from clinging. I'm looking for a sheer, slippery slip short that doesn't roll up, scooch up or cause a bulge on the thigh and just has enough light control to prevent jiggling and smooth out panty lines. Though these were not an "ace bandage girdle" as I so often find, these were not what I'm looking for. ... show more
