  • Awesome endurance! Their TBW rating is real!
Color: 1TB
These drives are fantastic for write cache on a consumer NAS or heavy creative workloads like video rendering etc. They don't slow down nearly as much as other drives do under constant full load and their endurance rating is real. I've got many of these drives way past their rating and going strong (YMMV and I am not storing critical work on those ones). Even under stress from temps above 65c they cruise along. I've only had 1 issue with a smaller version of the drive that was quickly replaced by excellent customer service. No other failures, even the ones way past rated TBW! I'll keep buying these for sure! ... show more

  • Microcenter house brand FTW
Color: Prime 2TB
Cheap decent storage that outperforms it's specifications. This is the 2TB model. Please note that it has more than one partition, hence it's mere 1570 GB D:\ drive.

  • Best bang for buck Gen 3 NVMe
The Inland Premium NVMe, as many others have discussed is a NVMe that uses high quality parts found in many other ‘reference’ design NVMe’s at a much higher price. So what you end up with is a blazing fast, great performing Gen 3 NVMe SSD that if it had anyone elses name on it, could cost you as much as 50% more then Inlands name being on it. The updated version of this NVMe, at least the one I got, uses a Phison E12s nickel plated controller(likely for better heat dissipation since that issue was a common problem for all the older NVMe’s that use this same reference design. That E12s is paired with Toshiba 3D TLC flash Memory. It also comes with a rating of 3500mbps seq read, 3100mbps seq write(depending on the capacity) and a 360 TBW rating. These specs are good enough to go head to head with just about any Gen 3 NVMe on the market. I purchased the 256gb variant since it will only have an OS and one or two programs on the drive, but am very happy with the performance and price paid. The ONLY place that Inland is really lacking is in their Warranty. The 3 year warranty offerer on this drive falls below the standard 5 years offered on most NVMe’s, however its quite unlikely due to the quality parts and time tested reference design used in this drive that it will fail within the 3 year period, so buy with confidence. Whether your looking for a small boot drive to have your OS and programs on it, or for mass storage in the form of an NVMe, the Inland Premium NVMe can give you above average performance for the industry without having to spend an arm and a leg for it. This same design is sold by other companies such as Sabrent for a bunch more money. Just to note: while I mentioned the updated Phison E12s in my review, I just wanted to add that my DRAM chip on mine is from ESMT. ... show more

  • Much Faster than iMac Internal Drive
Color: 1TB
I got this because my 2017 21.5" iMac was so dang slow. I was 100% sure it was because I got the lowest end model with just a standard SATA hard drive. People said they could live with it, but I think there was something wrong with mine perhaps it could have been all the junk that accumulated when I restored my data from my Time Machine backup. Mac benchmarks would yield a top read speed of about 50 MB/s. Other benchmarks like the Blackmagic Disk Speed test yielded about 25-30 MB/s. It was terrible. So I got this NVMe to use externally on a USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure. I know it is not as fast as mounting it on an internal NVMe M.2 slot but my iMac doesn't even have an M.2 slot internally. Best I could do internally is a slower SATA SSD which is not faster than USB 3.1 Gen 2. I could also maximize the NVMe's throughput by using a Thunderbolt enclosure but I was not willing to spend that much money. Either way, I am very pleased with this NVMe as it is much faster than the internal drive, which was near impossible to use prior to this upgrade. As you can see from the attached image, the benchmark on the left is the internal Apple hard drive, while the one on the right is this NVMe SSD. There is no CrystalDiskMark for MacOS so I'm using my Windows Boot Camp drive to test. I formatted the internal hard drive as exFAT and also created a small partition on the SSD and also formatted with exFAT so I can access both with Windows. The SSD is about 9 times faster in sequential read and write. Using a MacOS benchmark with the Apple File System intact, the SSD was more like 18 times faster. Any SSD will yield better results compared to a traditional hard drive. One of the reasons I chose this over the cheaper Crucial P1 is that this SSD uses TLC as opposed to the P1's QLC. That fact should increase longevity. Pros: -Fast, even when used externally -Just a tad bit more expensive than the cheaper Crucial P1 Cons: -Not a well-known brand name -Not really a con, but I'm sad I could not post the kind of benchmarks other people have ... show more

  • Great product, health life and wear.
Color: 2TB
The health life is down to 80% after some month of using it. Could implement feature like SLC cache to improve life.
