This product works and does what it is designed to do. I did need to buy 2 to get my pool temp lowered. My pool is full sun in Texas. This product provides a nice water feature sound and does lower the temp of the pool with the right setting.

I have 3 jets, plus 3 on the tanning ledge. The diameter of the pvc is too large and doesnt allow enough pressure to be built up to make it work. After my RPM's drop on my pump after initial start up, there is no waterfall to be seen at all.. wasted time and money.

Only problem was the fitting to the inlet for my pool. I have an Intex above ground pool, and the attachment that came with the fountain would not fit. After a very prolonged search at a local store, buying what they recommended, and failing to get it to fit correctly, I played a game of find a close enough fit with pieces I already had. With the help of some strong glue and a little arm power, I was able to get it to fit. It is still removable from the pool which I felt was important. It works great, has helped me keep the pool chemicals balanced which is hard in a small pool, and the water temp has stayed cool enough to make it pleasant even during the horrible heat wave of this year. ... show more

    • Cooling Off My Inground Pool and Provide A Soothing Sound

This was a perfect solution for cooling off my inground pool which is in direct sunlight. I had to alter my time for running the pool pump at night so that the water fall gets cooled and by the time it's daylight, the pool is 5 to 6 degrees cooler which makes a big difference. What is not mentioned in the instructions, in order to mount the water fall pipes to the jet return, you will need to remove the old eye ball jet and it's adaptor which requires a tool. Amazon has the perfect tool and is dirt cheap "Watayo 4 PCS Metal Eyeball Seat Removal Tool -SP1419T". Once the Eye ball jet is removed, mounting the inground fountain is a breeze. Decently made product, just bad implementation. I ordered this one specifically because the pictures above had a solid elbow and not a ball joint. When I opened the package, it had a ball joint. I went ahead and installed it in my swimming pool. As I feared, the ball joint is not tight enough to hold the shaft in place and it swivels too easily. I can't tighten the ball joint any more because the nut is already as tight as it will go. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It has been in the pool for 3 days. We are In Louisiana where the day time temperatures have been 100 degrees. I run the filter for 5 hours in the early morning hours and 5 hours during the day in an attempt to keep the water temperature in the lower 90s. This fountain was a “it couldn’t hurt” addition to that effort. Well it flows at about 4 gpm. For 10 hours that’s about 2,400 gallons which is 15% of the water volume in the pool. Didn’t expect much and not seeing much if any effect to the water temperature. It does give a soothing sound with the water cascading into the pool when it’s quiet around the pool in the evening. It is not very sturdy. Not sure how it will hold up with the kids cannonballing near it. Had to go to the pool store which I hate to do as their prices are often very high. While there I saw the exact same fountain in clear plastic packaging for $25. Already had this one installed or it would have been sent back. ... show more
