I have been looking for a gel liner that would not dry up in the tub, and this is it! It's actually quite like a liquid, and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is not adept at applying liquid liner from a tub. But if you are, I think you will fall in love with this! I also wouldn't say this is waterproof, but I'm okay with that. It's easier to remove at night. I bought mine in brown because black is too harsh as you age. I’m in love with this line! It is easy to use with a liner brush and stays on ALL day. This color especially brings out my blue eyes and helps them look bigger. It doesn’t smudge and the little pot will last you FOREVER.

This is the best liner for "mature" skin I have ever tried. I can get the line exactly as I want with the lightest touch and it requires only the tiniest dip to the brush. It will likely last me for decades.

    • It slides on, then slides right back off
The formula is silky, so it goes on very very easily. However, it doesn't give good coverage in the entire line like Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner, you have to go back and fill this one. It also doesn't cost as much as Bobbi Brown's and her formula is much stiffer, the pot starts drying out immediately and the product doesn't glide on as easily by a long shot (I've never got my full money's worth out of Bobbi Brown's eyeliner because it turns into a hockey puck within a few months, whether you store it in an airtight container or not). The main problem with Inglot is that each brush stroke to get a solid line takes more product off you. If you dab more of the gel on to fill it in, you make more of a problem because it just won't set and ends up rubbing off both above and below your eye. The main advantage I see is this: You do get a crisp top edge of the line without fighting and this is worth something. I end up doing the following: 1. Draw the first line with a fully loaded brush, wait as long as you can for it to partially set - keep eyelids lowered so it doesn't immediately smear. 2. Use a kohl pencil to fill in the blank and patchy spots. 3. Set it with a spray or powder and wait before curling eyelashes or applying mascara because it *really* is gooey. I used it for waterline once - it oozed right back out from my tear ducts. No irritation, but it's a weird sensation when a blob of the gel floats on your eyeball. So I'll keep using this until I find a product which has fewer trade-offs, but I can live with this for now. ... show more

    • Stays on my waterline (for most of the day)
I love the look of tight lining but every pencil I used eventually started smudging under my eyes (usually after only an hour or two). I decided on this gel and an angled liner brush. I love how easily this applies, and the first day I tried it, it lasted for most of the day without smudging. After wearing it for over 12 hours there was a tiny bit of smudging but I feel like that's reasonable as that's usually when I take off my makeup anyway. As a contact wearer I didn't experience any irritation whereas with pencils I almost always get some of the product on my contacts and it feels like there's something in my eyes all day. I just make sure there isn't too much product on the brush before applying and there's no mess. Definitely recommended ... show more
