  • Nice air ratchet.
Size: 3/8" Drive
I have always had and used ingersoll tools and this is another great tool. I like the size for working in close spaces and it workes perfectly. Keep in mind this this is a ratchet and not a breaker bar. Depending on how tight bolts are you may and should first loosen with a breaker bar then finish removal with the ratchet. If ued correctly, it should last a lifetime. I would certainly recommend this to anyone. ... show more

  • GREAT AIR RATCHET
Size: 3/8" Drive
I've only used once so far, for a job I needed to do. Performed well as expected. I expect to get more use out of this air ratchet in the future. I purchased this for home use, I had previously purchase and used a much cheaper ratchet that didn't last as long as I had anticipated. So, as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for" is very true. Ingersoll Rand has a good reputation for their air tools so I feel the money is well spent. With air tools it is very important to oil them prior to each use and they should last you a good while is what I expect with this one. ... show more

  • Perfect for lighter automotive jobs
Size: 3/8" Drive
I bought this to help me out with a timing chain replacement on a Jeep TJ. I have it hooked up to a Porter Cable 3.5 gallon 135 PSI pancake compressor dialed down to 90 PSI (which apparently delivers 2 SCFM). For removing and replacing the bolts for the fan shroud, radiator, idler pulley, water pump pulley, tensioner pulley, timing chain cover and camshaft sprocket it worked like a total champ. It was very, very convenient in the tighter spaces where rotating a ratchet would have been problematic. This isn't an impact wrench, so I didn't expect it to remove the more heavily torqued bolts. So no luck with the crankshaft / vibration damper pulley bolt. It also didn't have the torque to turn the crankshaft when I was trying to align the timing sprockets for removal. But I didn't expect it to perform either of these functions. Build quality is quite good. It's solid and hefty with a rubberized grip. Manipulation of the trigger is easy and intuitive. For anyone wondering, it does not come with an air hose coupler fitting. In its place is a plastic housing that contains the an anti-theft strip. I had to remove (read: break off) the back of that plastic housing, where I found a plastic bolt that I unscrewed to reveal the interface where the coupler would be screwed in. From time to time, I popped off the air hose, put in a couple of drops of air tool oil, and replaced the hose. Before storing it, I also put in a couple of drops of oil and hit the trigger it to circulate. Overall, this driver was darn handy. I'd have cursed a lot more and needed more time for the job if I didn't have it. ... show more

  • Top quality
Size: 3/8" Drive
I purchased two ratchets, a 1/4” and 3/8” drive to replace some harbor freight ratchets that my kids bought me for Christmas. Needless to say the harbor freight tools didn’t last. First off there is a big difference in build quality. These tools look professional. The pneumatic drive is much smoother and both ratchets have more torque than what I was previously using. I have a side business working on cars and both ratchets get used a lot. So far no issues and I expect that I will have them for a long time ... show more

  • You will be happy with this ratchet if you understand the inherent limitation of air ratchets
Size: 1/2" Drive
IR does make a wonderful air ratchet. it showed up on time, undamaged. you will need a 1/4 male NPT to get going. when operating, it is not terribly loud. when you activate the ratchet it is also smooth. I did not have any trouble with my knuckles getting smashed against my work by a sudden jerk of the ratchet. The ratchet itself is fairly small, so you can get into pretty much any space a similar manual ratchet will reach. My biggest complaint is common to most (all??) air ratchets: it only has about 50ish pounds of torque, so you are not going to be breaking loose those frozen nuts and bolts. This one makes its money when you have nuts/bolts to put on or take off and you have limited throw space to work in. it is very convenient to let the ratchet do the work and save your wrist and shoulder the wear and tear. ... show more
