Words don't explain how amazing this machine is. I've made magic coconut oil many times, the old fashioned way (decarb in oven, simmer on low, blah). And this is 419% easier! Best benefits: - small size of unit, so it's fast to clean and easy to handle. Also, there's a big handle. - low minimum amount of oil required. Ideal for stronger infusions - the strainer basket ROCKS. Goodbye cheesecloth that I can never find. The strainer worked so well.. AND the tamper worked well. - absolutely zero odor. In fact, I was skeptical of whether or not it was working because the odor was non-existent until I removed the lid. - completely silent More about the tamper and strainer: - I think some reviewers expect the plastic tamper and strainer basket to do a perfect job. But I can tell from this setup that it's meant to get you 99% of the way, for it to be quick and easy, and get the job done with no issues. So if you're looking for something complicated and big and clunky with moving parts, then this is NOT for you. If you want something small and simple that just works, and looks good doing it, then buy this thing. Here's how it went down: - I unboxed it & cleaned with Dawn dish soap - added a bunch of plant matter into the strainer basket and set the basket aside while I prepare the coconut oil - I put just under 1 cup of coconut oil into the main chamber of the unit, so the coconut oil would melt (for this unit, it seems the "proper" way to put the oil into the unit is to POUR it over the plant matter) - once the oil was melted, I poured it from the infuser into a measuring cup - then I placed the strainer basket full of herb into the infuser - next I poured the liquid coconut oil on the plant matter to fully saturate it - then I plugged in the unit, pressed the Temp + button until it says 180, then I pressed Time + to set the time to 180mins (I wanted to go 30 mins over the recommended 150). - ... And that's pretty much it lol. When the timer finished, I had a beautiful dark batch of infused coconut oil. - to wrap things up, I poured the infused oil directly from the infuser into the butter mold. The ~1 cup of oil filled almost 2 full butter stick slots in the butter mold! So the infused coconut oil is in the butter molds in my fridge as I write this review. This process couldn't have been much better or easier. I'm also big on not wasting, spilling, or making a mess - and this unit allowed me to do ALL of those. I'm still dumbfounded at how much time, worry about burning etc, and frustration this has saved me. ... show more

I like the product. Easy to operate and fun. I have infused olive oil with basil. Using this oil to make diffuser oil of basil, mint n vanilla. Great product for working with all kinds of herbs.

I have only used this to make infused coconut oil and tinctures, but it has worked very well for those two things. During the whole process from decarboxylation to infusion any smell was totally contained. I only need to make small amounts of infused products, so this size is perfect for me. If I was making larger quantities of item with my infused items then I would buy the larger model offered. The recipe book that comes with it has all the details you need to get started. ... show more

Yes! Slam dunk!! Even the recommended temps in the manual are optimum based on my previous infusion experience. Very satisfied customer, I just don’t have much need for the molding containers as of yet, but it can be handy I suppose for longer term storage of the infused product.
