This is my favorite vest I've found for my toy breed service dog. Hard to find smaller sizes sometimes. I've had to order XXXS (when he was younger and training) to XXS. He's had the one that fits him now for about 2 years with no issues, durable. This vest doesn't cover his whole body and that helps with having a good portion of him available for tactile stimulation. Had to hunt for very small tactical pouches for him to carry my medications. (found some here on Amazon) I got the teal blue color both times. I might have considered a traditional red color to alert he's working, or even neon (if they offered it) so people could see him better (since he's small). I needed to buy a neon leash cover that stated "service dog - do not pet" and that has helped stopped people from wanting to pet him. The handle was also something I was looking for so I could lift him up in a hurry if needed.

Have a harness escape artist? This harness is for you! We have a husky who can simply back out of any harness, no problem with his pointy head. This harness has been great! Can he get out of it? Yes, he has twice. Both times were our fault. We pulled him in a different direction than he was going and it slipped off over his head. The difference is that he was not trying to get out of it and actually froze when it happened. Lesson learned. He enjoys wearing the harness and could possibly feel proud when he has it on. ha. Surprisingly it does not rub under his front legs like I thought it would and he sleeps in it all the time when we visit family just in case someone leaves a door open. It is very sturdy and well made. He loves pretending we are a sled when exercising and can comfortably pull with his body and not his neck which is wonderful! He also wears it in the car because you can get a dog seat belt and clip it right to the metal hook on the back. We bought velcro names for the sides that fit perfectly. So happy with this harness! I highly recommend this for huskies and other doggies who back out of other harnesses. 5 stars!! :)

So while I say it was completely useless, it certainly was for us. We thought we had medium sized dogs. Apparently we have small and extra small dogs š. I hope this helps anybody that's reading this review. Measure your dog's neck before ordering. This is a fantastic harness. If I ever get another lab the medium would be great. This is for a pretty large dog even though it says medium. We do have two small sizes on the way. The problem with some of these are the shipping times. It takes a very very long time it'll be patient. Once it gets to you you will love it. ā° ā° āā

I have been pretty much home bound for the past few years and just recently gotten to the point where I can start going out and about again. I had a recent trip where I was going to stay with a couple of my kids and would be home alone during the day while they were at work and needed to take my gal with me so I bought this vest for her so the apartment and anyone else that would see me while I would be out in public would know that she was not just a regular pet (housing units have to allow service dogs vs pets same with stores). She has never worn a service vest before because we havenāt had the need for one because of me being home bound, but she took to it really quick! The vest for her has just become another extension of her whenever we go out and she needs to wear it. She enjoys it so much that as soon as I ask her if she wants to go to work and she sees me grab it she gets excited, jumps on my bed, and will sit and wait patiently for me to put her vest on! In fact I may end up having to order a second vest just because our German Shepherd understands what the vest is and she now wants one as well! lol! I ordered her a medium as she was right on the fine line measurement wise between a small and a medium and I felt it was better to be safer than sorry. Itās taken in as small as itāll go and fits her just fine! I love the vest and all the multipurposeās it can serve. I ended up even ordering saddle bags for it so if we decide to go out for an extended period of time for the day, just her and I, she can help carry extra items for me such as my meds and such. The grab bar seems pretty sturdy and well added. I can see if I got a second and larger vest for my GSD being able to use it to help pull myself up when I need the extra hand. I also love that these came with cards as well explaining our rights when it comes to having service animals. Luckily Iāve never ran into any issues yet with anyone asking but I can see where they would most definitely come in handy and helpful in possibly some of those moments if they were ever to arise!!

If, like me, you get frustrated from searching for harnesses and coats that would fit your deep chested dog, like my Standard Poodle Tibbo, search no more! Tibbo just outgrew his size M harness that barely fitted him by making the front loop as small as possible, and the chest loop as large as possible. Soā¦ I ordered one size bigger, size L, but, of course, the harnesses and coats you can buy ready made are all designed to fit the barrel chested dogs, like the Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Pitbulls. Sooo frustrating! First, I adjusted the rear, chest loop, which still gives me a little space to grow. Then, I checked how much I needed to take off the front loop so that it would not hang/sag in front of my dog. With a pair of heavy duty sewing scissors, I trimmed one piece first, then checked again, and cut another piece so that the hook part of the Velcro still attaches to the "soft" part of it. Then, I took a lighter, stood close to the kitchen sink with the water running, and brushed the flame along the cut part of the loop to melt it, ran it through water, and voilĆ ! No need to sew, the end will not fray, and my harness now fits my dog. FYI, Tibbo's girth is 28", neck 15", height at shoulder, 26", and length from base of the neck to base of the tail, 25". I hope this helps other owners :)

My black lab, Shadow, is actually more chicken than dog and doesnāt really service anything other than his crotch at 2 in the morning. Iāve been trying to socialize him more to get him out of the house because heās terrified of almost everything. So, when I stumbled upon this awesome Service Dog Vest with Hook and Loop Straps and Handle, I was totally sold! First of all, this vest looks great - itās red and black color with a bright reflective patch, Its nice to know my dog is safe when he sneaks out of the backyard so cars can always spot him while heās on the prowl for local tail and new exciting yards to poop on. Itās made from comfortable enough fabric, so heās not panting too hard when he returns home at 5am from his late night shenanigans. . The best part about this vest though is that with this vest none of that ever happens anymore. Soon as I put it on, he freezes up like a manikin in a retail store window. trying to avoid the straps. I guess the vest must remind him of a naughty trip to the vet or something, Heās not the kinda guy that likes to be tied down. But Iāve figured out a way to get around it - at least this vest comes with a handle! Now I can just drag him up the stairs, since he absolutely refuses to walk anywhere himself, haha. Overall, Iām totally satisfied with this Service Dog Vest, and I definitely recommend it to anyone trying to pretend there dog is good for any service other than the occasional cuddle.

This vest is well-made, durable, and comfortable for my service dog.
