Combining a solid-steel laser cut protracter head with a gold anodized Incra Track Fence, and a red Stop Positioner the sliding scales fit perfectly in the top slot on the fence to make stop positioning easy, fast and accurate. Precision angle indexing teeth are laser cut in solid steel to lock in 41 positive angle stops in 5-degree increments over a full plus or minus 90-degree range. Other features include a standard miter head, a GlideLOCK miter bar with width that is adjustable in 6 places, an 18-inch track fence, and a sliding stop positioner. The Miter Gauge also has six expansion points that allow for adjustments to both sides of the bar for ZERO side play, and anti-friction travel. I needed a new mitre gauge as I've just bought a new router table and the gauge off my semi-professional saw table didn't fit it properly (I think it is the saw table that is slightly non-standard). I'm trying to build up a small core of good tools for my retirement, so cost is as important as quality and, frankly, my saw's gauge was only just adequate. I ended up choosing this one, based on review here and elsewhere. When it arrived, earlier today, I thought how heavy it was. Not too heavy, but obviously solidly built (not sure about the reviewer who thought this was flimsy, it's build more like a tank). It dropped into the slot like it had been custom fitted with a laser engraver - no adjustment necessary. I'm using it on a router table, so the instructions about lining it up using the saw blade and a square were inadequate. I tried using the square butting against the edge of the t-slot, but my eyeball suspected I still had a problem, only slightly but just visible. This was solved by turning the gauge to 90 degrees and moving the fence to one end, clamping a block to the center of the front of the table touching the fence where it was closest to the front, and measuring the gap with feeler gauges with the mitre gauge slid to the other end. I then adjusted the feeler gauges to half the gap, and moved the fence back to that distance. Readjusted the fence and repeated the process a couple of times until the fence moves exactly parallel with the mitre slot. I've now got it where if a .003" feeler gauge just slips in at one end, it will just slip in at the other with a similar amount of friction. Then back to the 0 degree index slot. Sounds good to me! The instructions were plentiful, clear and well illustrated. The gauge came with everything I expected, including allen keys (one with handle), and extra nuts and bolts for attaching add-on or sacrificial fences. If you need a longer fence, or an extendable one, or a flip over stop (the stop is is probably the only weak item) then look at Incra's more expensive, but similar, models. This one is, I believe a good compromise for me and for the money. I look forward to the quality of my work improving. ... show more

Just received it today. Set it up and adjusted to 90 degrees. It cut PERFECTLY. I use a machinist square to check several cuts....and they were ALL....spot on at 90 degrees. No difference when setting to other degrees, I'm not sure how accurate you want this thing to be.... but unless your making wooden parts for the James Webb Space Telescope.....and I believe you could with this thing......this thing will accurately cut whatever you want. For anyone in their garage...making tables etc., it a no brainer. It was 100% spot on. WHY...spend $ 200-300 dollars unless you are hiring someone to cut the lumber for you. Other fences are all marketing ploys. Spend more money?...because you're a Festool kind of guy and think more money = more accuracy? ....go ahead....God Bless your lost soul......won't make any difference. ... show more

    • Massive upgrade over stock table saw miter gauges
This is a huge improvement over the cheap stamped miter gauges that come with most table saws. If you do any kind of woodworking where accurate repeatable crosscuts matter, upgrading the factory gauge is one of those changes that immediately improves the experience of using the saw. The biggest strengths here are: * accuracy * rigidity * adjustability Everything feels much tighter and more confidence-inspiring than the sloppy OEM gauges included with many contractor and jobsite saws. Once dialed in, this made it much easier to make repeatable cuts without constantly second-guessing alignment or fighting side-to-side play in the miter slot. Adjustment and calibration are also straightforward, which matters because even good aftermarket gauges are useless if they’re frustrating to tune properly. The included stop block technically works, but it’s probably the weakest part of the package. It’s functional enough to get started, but definitely doesn’t feel as refined or robust as the rest of the system. Fortunately it’s also one of the easiest parts to upgrade or replace later if you want something nicer. Overall though, the core miter gauge itself is excellent and absolutely the part that matters most. This is one of those woodworking upgrades where you quickly realize: * the factory accessory was holding the tool back more than the saw itself If you’re still using the stock gauge that came with your table saw and are getting more serious about woodworking accuracy, this is a very worthwhile upgrade. ... show more

I haven't put it to use yet, with this miter gauge is well build, fit my Delta Delta Unisaw right out of the box. There is no decernable deflection and the micro adjust is a nice add on. I almost never used the one with my craftsman table saw because it was so inaccurate. This seems to have eliminated that issue if tuned properly. ... show more

I've used my table saw to make angled cuts and it was always off by a fraction. I finally bought this after being frustrated for 2 weeks with my last project. I installed it and this thing is a dream to work with. I love how sturdy it is and how accurate it was out of the box. I didn't have to make any adjustments to it, all I had to do was put it together and it was 100% square. If you are on the fence due to the price I can tell you it is 1000% percent worth it. I can't believe I was out here cutting angles like a neanderthal when this amazing item exists! ... show more

It's a little expensive for my taste but it works extremely well. I needed this tool to cut a piece of wood at a 13 degree angle which is tough to do with a basic tool. This tool allowed me to cut at my chosen angle without any problems. I also love the fact that everything is made of metal no cheap plastic parts. Overall I'm happy and would buy this again if the need arises. ... show more
