I ordered this movie back in July 2020, well I finally got around to watching it this past weekend (November 2020) and what do I discover, the freaking disc doesn't work. It doesn't work in my PS4 and it doesn't work in my Multi-Region Blu-ray player, what gives? Are the discs defective? I guess I will never know since it is out of the 'Return Window's. I guess they can just sell janky products on Amazon and if you don't immediately catch the jank then you are just screwed! ... show more

    • Love it: hilarious and so gloriously, deliberately stupid.
If you're into gialli film, this film is a must. I just laughed my ass off--it's really a comedic take on Italian horror. I really enjoyed it, but I can understand why folks don't find it great; you have to know the conventions of gialli to get the jokes. It's very clever and fun, and beautiful to watch. If you like A24 productions, this is it. If you're looking for something dark , this ain't it. It's a deliberately silly art film. ... show more

Like many others, I go to play this movie and the disc doesnt work. Tried playing it in three different Blu Ray players. Do not purchase this disc.

Peter Strickland is a true original. Berberian Sound Studio and Duke of Burgundy are both unlike anything ever made. I don't understand why this film, distributed by A24, a company with incredibly good taste, did not market it better. But it's unpredictable, twisted and beautiful and I cannot recommend it enough. ... show more

Fall 2023. Disc still doesn’t play. As others describe, the disc is black/gray. This needs a disclaimer from Amazon for a defective product for US players.

    • Say Yes to the dress.
In a slightly surreal world, a dress is cursed being fatal to those who wear it. It was sold by Dently and Soper's Department Store which has clerks that look like animated manikins, which may be the case as there are odd things that happen there. The film concentrates heavily on Shelia (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) the first victim. This is another film that will leave you guessing. Guide: sex and nudity.
