I am a professional painter, so I’ve applied paint in a variety of ways from brushing to rolling to spraying. I was recently hired to repaint a few areas in the children’s area of our local library. As I was preparing to repaint this “cannonball hole in a pirate ship” spot, I was brainstorming ways to recreate the look without bringing my big paint sprayer into the library. I looked on Amazon and found this airbrush sprayer option. It was only $50, so I figured if it didn’t work well I wasn’t out much money and I could always return it if I didn’t use it. I had never used an airbrush sprayer before, so I glanced at the directions and filled the tank with water to see if/how it worked. Everything seemed to be working fine with the water, so I took it to the library to see what it could do with paint. Within the first 5 mins of using it I was already thinking of other projects I could use it on. It was so easy to use for a first-timer and it worked perfectly! I wouldn’t use it on larger jobs—it really puts out a fine mist of paint and would take too long to do big jobs. But for little projects like this or small craft projects (or maybe even makeup application?) this thing is awesome. The head honchos at the library AND another painting crew that was in there watching me work also mentioned wanting to buy one after seeing how well it worked and hearing how inexpensive it was. It feels heavy/well-made. It feels like it’ll last a while. It’s not a cheap, light-weight piece of cr@p that you fear to receive nowadays. I’d recommend this product all day long.

Never used airbrushes before for model painting and was wondering if I should invest serious money into owning one. This product allowed me to spend a reasonable amount of money to experiment some and I am so glad I found it! Airbrush mechanics are not too complicated and this item is no exception, very easy to use and quite portable. I was able to show it off to my friends and even allow them to use it as well. This has kicked up my basecoating so much and has become part of my usual painting process. I feel as though most of paint is lasting longer and I am applying much smoother uniform base coats on my minis. Very happy to have purchased this item. There are some slight learning curves to maintaining your airbrushes, but at this price, you won't worry much if something goes wrong! It's a great starter airbrush and just enough for very basic tasks. Battery/Compressor also lasts just long enough. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in getting into airbrush use and concerned about spending too much money.

I purchased this airbrush to learn how to airbrush my radio control airplanes and jets. The setup is handy for learning and small jobs since the compressor run time is typically 1hr. This time is actually longer since the compressor does not need to run nonstop, just enough to maintain 32psi while spraying. My first use was to fixup an Ace All Star Bi-Plane that I bought at an swap meet. It was an flamingo pink color that I didn't care for so I mixed up some fluorescent magenta, a drop of blue, and a drop of gray on top of the pink that was there and got the color you see in the photo. This was my first airbrush attempt and the airbrush worked well. My next project was fixing the paint on the nose and cockpit battery cover on my Dragonfly Seaplane. I used a little too much airbrush thinner on this one so I got a litle bleed through the card I was using to mask while I painted but overall I am still happy with the results. The plane was actually beat up pretty bad... The Australian Royal Airforce Panther I bought a swap meet for $35.00, I installed a 3s/4s 4 amp ESC, repaired the EDF duct, installed a AR631+ receiver and if the maiden goes well I plan on cleaning up the glue seams where the previous owner repaired it, reffinish the paint job, and give it a clear gloss foam coat. I'll add the photo when it's done. The weather is pretty crappy so I don't expect to maiden the jet until late March. Those of you who fly r/c models you probably know how well the Arrows Bigfoor flies but the stickers are like tissue paper and break down just from your sweat when removing the battery hatch and the black window canopy cover looses paint.. well here's a photo of my six year old Arrows Bigfoot. I just touched it up and applied two coats of matte foam sealer. They get $299.00 for this model now. I am not sure why. I paid $185 back in 2019 for it. Now it's time to update the landing gear with spring shock absorbers. I'll put my Dremel Workstation to use o build that. If you have small projects where you don't expect to be painting for more then 1.5hrs this airbrush is prefect. It's easy to clean in between colors just make sure you have a water squeeze bottle, airbrush cleaner, and plenty of water to flush it out. If you want to get into airbrushing but put it off because of the expense of a compressor, I recommend getting this one. At this price point it's worth it. I'd give this airbrush 5 stars but my Ace Allstar BiPlane refinishing needed more than just a 1.5hr run time. I had to charge in between applying my custom overlay color and fixing the black, yellow, and silver stripes. It was still worth it though.
