Mey R - came across this new AMAsport paddle while browsing for paddles. Looking for control spin and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. After played for 2 days now, I decided to write a review. (I don't have prime and used my friend account to get it in 2 days). As always, received promptly and well packed. First look was very interesting and had couple of heads turned at the court. Definitely the widest paddle I played with. Great smooth finish at the edges, no cheap plastic wrap like many expensive paddles. I usually put more spin than usual players - top spin, slices, back spin. This paddle gives me more control on those spins. The weight and coarse finish surface makes the shots more amazing than usual with the muffled sound and its satisfying to have a paddles help to compliment the effort. As the saying goes nothing is perfect, the handle on this paddle is short, at the edge has a wider circumference and can't able to hold at the end to pay with wrist. Definitely not for double hand holding style players. Bit heavier than most paddles on the market, (I personally prefer the heavy paddles). Overall, a well designed paddle that will definitely help improve your game once you get used to the paddle (weight and handle)

I’m an experienced player trying to get a new edge on my game, but I also didn’t want to overspend if I didn’t have to. I’ve played with a similar Selkirk paddle and liked the feel and handling, but that one retails over $200. I found this one by chance and if you place them side by side the features are very similar. This particular model has a wide face with no edge guard, providing a large sweet spot, and it’s also great for quick defensive shots. The grip is solid and feels good in my hand; I choke up on the handle and hold it like a ping pong paddle so I have extra room at the base. The surface is tacky and sends the ball spinning with a flick of the wrist, just like those pricey paddles. I caught this one on sale for $79, but even at twice that price this is a great paddle at a great price.

I’ve been playing with this for a few weeks and really like it. For context, I’m a 4.0 player and my other paddles are a Selkirk Power Air and Gearbox GX6(I like frame/edgeless paddles!) The good: I think it plays like a cross between a Selkirk Power Air and the Joola Hyperion. It’s a harder paddle, but still plays a little soft for the net game. I find myself missing less dinks with this paddle as opposed to my other paddles. Balls seem to come off the face pretty consistent(sweet spot feels good) I get plenty of spin on my shots and the surface isn’t the type that feels like it will wear off quickly. The price point was excellent!! I got the purple Immersion because it was significantly cheaper. The bad: The surface coating chips very easily along the edges. (See pics) Both of my other edgeless paddles that have seen a lot more use aren’t chipping like this. That being said, it’s just the edges and hasn’t affected the actual playing surface, so I can deal with it and hopefully it won’t get worse. Overall, it’s a great paddle for the less than $100 I paid for it!

Straight out to the box, it was nice aesthetically. I think it plays well, but the materials are not great…I’m very careful with all the paddles I play with, *not scraping them on the ground, etc. after a few days of playing with it, the top 3rd of the paddle had a crack in it. Overall playability was pretty good, dinking, spin, driving all felt good. I believe if this was made with better materials, it would definitely rival the Selkirk 003.

I’ve only used this paddle around 10 times and the core is already broken. I even put edge tape on it right away to try and prolong its life. I think it broke through wear and tear, which is crazy for how little I used it.
