I bought the azure blue color to match my blue iPad and it was the right choice. It looks good. Update: A month later, the iPad case has all kinds of discoloration on it. The iPad case is now yellow for some reason My Apple Pencil Pro fits right in the pencil holder. It is also worth noting that while your Apple Pencil is in the pen holder, the pencil won’t charge. That’s actually the main reason I bought this case. I did not want my pencil always charging. To charge the pencil you just have to remove it and place it on the top. It charges perfectly then.

This is the best iPad case I have found for the price. Most other comparable cases on Amazon have the apple pen holder on the side that touches the iPad directly, where it charges. I like that this case has the pencil on the left side because I don't want to be constantly charging my pencil when it's in the holder to save it's battery life. The charging feature works great through the side of this case. Only downside is that it's not incredibly durable, I ended up ordering a new one after a school year because the front gets scratched up. But the iPad never gets hurt!

very good quality and fit for my 5th gen ipad air, the magnet is great when closing and on the side when I charge my apple pencil. I really wanted a case where the pencil holder was on the same side as the cover when it’s in the trifold position so i can rest it at the top easily between writing. although this is the opposite side of where the pencil charges, i’ve never had an issue with it connecting through the case and charging quickly. I love this case and the midnight green is a beautiful color!!

I personally got this case about a month ago. Here is what I have found. - the pencil holder of the case is to the left instead of the right. This does not let your Apple Pencil charge. This is when it’s on an upright position. When you set it to the side so that the tablet is raised by the back, the pencil is unobstructed and able to charge. So this isn’t really an issue for me. - I can’t have any cover on my Apple Pencil, or else the pencil won’t charge because of all the material from both the case and the pencil. Without a cover, the pencil charges fine. - I cannot speak on the sturdiness since I haven’t dropped my tablet yet. The material does feel a bit thick so I’ll let you all know if any damage is done if I ever drop it. - I would be careful with what color you choose. I chose the sage green and it is already becoming a little dirty (I go to classes so not much can be done for me to clean surfaces). Anyway, I like the case and would give it a chance if you are on the fence about it!

This is a decent case for the price. I prefer a more secure case so I don’t know if I will be keeping this as it doesn’t feel like it this falls the iPad would be protected. When I grab the IPad to hold it the edges slip out , it’s not a snug fit. However all the cutouts are precise, I could access Touch ID with no problem and the speakers and volume buttons are properly placed. The sleep/wake function works fine and the Apple Pencil knock off that I purchased fits just fine and because there is silicone in between the iPad and the pencil it won’t scratch the iPad like in some other cases! The purple is a smoky purple which I really like!
