I love modular helmets for their functionality and this ILM helmet does not disappoint. First the helmet is beautiful with it's matte paint scheme in black, white and gray shades - very slick looking. The best part of having a matte poaint job is that there are no finger prints or smudges to worry about! The helmet comes with two visors that are clear and well made (clear and tint). Grab an extra Pinlock film and you are good to go. I don't plan on using the tinted visor as much just because this helmet includes a built-in flip down tinted visor that works by moving a slide. I use this feature all the time so that I can transition from dark and sunny areas while riding. This is even more useful for those riding in tunnels and under bridges. The helmet is pretty light and not heavy so wearing it for hours won't be a chore. The ventilation is also pretty good with the vents in the usual spots and the openings seem a bit larger than some of the other helmets I have. The back spoiler is vented to allow air flow and not to mention looking very cool. The vent appears removable if that is more your style, though the spoiler reduces wind noise when riding. The wind noise in general is not bad though I usually ride with ear plugs to protect my long-term hearing. The helmet feels very comfortable and the padding is nice and secure. I did notice that the cheek padding is a bit snugger than on my other ILM helmets in the same size, but I attribute this to new pads and a slightly different helmet design. It is always safer to have it more snug and loosen over time than to have it looser and get even looser over time. The quick release is fantastic so that I don't have to mess with the old school looping straps, though that is my personal preference. It is quick to deploy and quick to release. The modular function is awesome. I actually have an easier time putting on and taking off my helmet when the bottom part is open. It secures tightly when down and locks in place when up. I love lifting it up when gassing up or when I need to talk to friends. I also keep it up if at a light and I need some more cooling or fresh air. I still look cool even with the shell up, when I have my tinted visor flipped down. This is a truly versatile and safe helmet.. Overall, I like this helmet a great deal. the value is there and the good looks are definitely there. Even my boys who ride with me think it's one of the better looking helmets we own (and we own many). For the money, it is worth the investment.

ILM is like the Amazon basics for motorcycle gear. They make solid products at an affordable price. So far, I've been having a great time with this helmet. It fits true to size, but there's a small amount of pressure on the forehead, so if you have an intermediate-oval head shape like me and you're between sizes, maybe size up for this helmet. The cheek pads are comfortable, but obviously they don't come as far forward as on a regular full face. Overall, my head feels well secured, and still very comfortable in this helmet. I love that two visors are included, but I do wish they were pinlock ready like the other ILM helmets I've tried. The noise level is decent, it's not too loud, but it's definitely not as quiet as my full-face shoei and LS2 helmets. It's not too heavy, and even with the front lifted, I am still able to turn my head and look around with ease at highway speeds. The internal sun visor rests at an appropriate height, and it sufficiently blocks the glare. I like the included speaker pockets, and setting up my Bluetooth headset was no issue. For me personally, the speakers were a little far from my ears, so I just added a little bit of foam to fill in the gap. One gripe I have is that if the visor is open, it's exceptionally difficult to open the front of the helmet without first closing the visor. Other than than, I think this is a really solid helmet for the price.

I loved the look, however it had a very loud high pitched ear piercing whistling noise sound with head straight & even worse if I turned my head left or right. The tinted outer lens was extremely nice. Was a little larger than my other ILM X-large helmet & around ears had a lot of room in this helmet, felt weird. Probably not the best durability with that much extra space.

This ILM modular helmet offers a nice balance of convenience, comfort, and safety for the price. The flip-up modular design is really handy for quick stops, talking at the gas pump, or just getting some air without removing the whole helmet. The dual visor system is great. The clear visor is crisp, and the built-in sun visor is easy to flip down while riding. Fit & Comfort: The padding is comfortable and feels good for longer rides. Ventilation is decent, and the helmet doesn’t feel overly heavy. Sizing runs fairly true, but if you’re between sizes, going up may be better. Looks & Features: The black and white design looks sharp and has a clean, modern style. The latch mechanism for the modular flip works smoothly and locks securely. The DOT rating provides peace of mind for street use. Note: It’s not as quiet as higher-end helmets, but that’s expected in this price range. Earplugs fix that easily on longer rides. Overall: A solid everyday helmet for commuting or casual riding. Comfortable, functional, and stylish with the convenience of a modular flip-up design. Great value for the cost.

Three star helmet. Sizing runs BIG. I normally wear L or XL and a M fit perfect. It also doesn’t go according to their sizing chart. I have a 59cm+ head and that should land in a Large. I was swimming in the large. Returned and got the medium. Much better fit. Both times, the factory box was all but destroyed. Small problem, but the chin strap has way too much material. Even the largest of people will have a couple extra inches of strap that needs cut or managed. I also inquired about a replacement visor. Since this has a drop down tinted interior visor, I was looking for an additional clear outer visor. The included tinted outer visor does me no good. ILM responded saying they do not offer replacement visors, and do not plan to in the future. This tells me, for the price, the helmet is considered a throw away helmet if/when the time comes to replace a scratched visor.
