I had bought this helmet in July mainly to wear when temps got cooler. But first time wearing it I had heard a rattling noise and thought it was my bike until I found it was actually the helmet. The air duct on top of helmet was not tight and the noise was so annoying. Other than that it's a nice helmet. I bought xxl and it fits snug. For the price its good. As for the duct, I had to put a piece of paper under the slide to keep it tight

My old modular helmet's release mechanism broke, so I bought this. At half the price of my old helmet, it is twice as good. The lining is incredibly soft, it feels like you are wearing a sock hat instead of a helmet. The slots for speakers, if you have a bluetooth system, are so perfectly placed- the music sounds really great, but not once have I felt the slot touch my ear. The lock on the bottom strap is genius, it's a metal part which slides into a socket, and unlatches with ease. No more looping straps around buckles. The only downside is that I have had to tighten the screws under the sides of the visor twice. No big deal at all, I'm going to get some loktite for next time and I'll bet that solves the issue.

Haven't found the negative yet. Face and visor flip up and can still use the sun visor. I like the chin strap diconnect and adjustment. Plain black but is racey looking, not dead conservative nor is it flashy. I plan on conservative reflective stickers(circles an rectangles). Seem solid and fits snugg not tight. Not sure about how scratch resistant or replaceable the main visor is. I like it.

I really like the helmet with the modular design and 2 eye shield options. However, trying to find a replacement for the the face shield is impossible. They do not offer a replacement on the website for this model # and no one answers the phone on the website of ILM or replies to an email. Replacement to face shields to all kinds of the helmets they sell but none for model #159.

When I first bought the helmet, I loved it. Very comfortable and I liked the features. However, in less than two months, the face shield latches started to mess up. They would not latch. I had to either slam or force the face shield shut. It was beyond the Amazon 30 day window to return so I contacted ILM directly. First response they offered me a $20 refund. But I pointed out that did me no good. Instead of having a $110 unusable helmet, I now had a $90 unusable helmet. They response back was take the $20 or nothing. All I asked them to do was back their product and either fix my helmet or replace it. My advice is, DON'T BUY FROM ILM. Go with a better company.
