This particular fool found this $30 per pound coffee very fresh and possessing the greatest "crispness" ever tasted in a cup of Joe, leaving my mouth feeling as if I just drank seltzer water. Terrific sensation from the spice notes! As others have claimed, I agree it is better than Starbuck's Pikes Place or anything Peet's has to offer. It lacks full-body unlike Blue Mountain and does not possess the smoothness of Kona. That said, it is not over-acidic, has some strong spice notes and can be pushed to make a very strong cup of coffee without the flavor becoming mushy and retaining its crispness, unlike other coffees. Can be served as a medium or bold brew. Highly recommended. 4.7/5.0

I love coffee, which helps jumpstart my day, ready to take on work. I also like to host meetings in my home office/ studio - I knew I would need coffee on hand, equivalent to the best coffee you can get in places like Australia and Italy. First, I made an investment in an awesome coffee maker. Second I needed to find just the right beans. After many attempts, I found tried Illy’s Coffee. While I am still on the hunt - my go-to is this brand. The beans grind quickly and consistently, resulting in a satisfying and smooth texture and the after-brew was addicting-- strong and intense, and the cocoa flavor really came to life. I highly recommend these beans for those who enjoy their coffee strong and bold.

Got my Illy Brasile coffee today and was surprised to find there were no lids on them, or in the manila envelope they were shipped in. Hmmm... When I buy whole beans, I usually grind them up and then put them back in the original tin to use as needed. But I can't do that with these because there are no lids. Also, cans had dents in them. Other than that, shipping was quick and I'm looking forward to tasting this, as I haven't tried the Brasile flavor yet.

Great coffee which I always order. This last time I bought at SmartSaveUSA, and not only was delivery late (outside the window provided at time of order), but the tins came completely crushed. I had to check real well if the seal hadn't been broken (if broken, the beans won't stay fresh). Upon visual inspection it looks okay, although barely, so will update if upon opening it's not okay. Either way it's worth a warning as I can't tell for sure where/whi this abuse happened. The box itself didn't look as if it all happened in transit with DHL. I don't care for the tins, but do about the freshness of the beans, so ordering at this seller more risky than from others (perhaps that's why the price is lower?).

I really like this coffee so fresh, the smell is amazing when you break the seal. I got two on Amazon days so had a nice price. Kind of pricey you only get 1/2 lb. I feel if you are going to drink coffee make it good. Kind of feel the same about chocolate. This coffee checks all the boxes.

This coffee is amazing, but if you buy it from Amazon, expect a lot, and I mean a whole lot of dented and broken cans. I had to have one of these orders replaced already because they damage to the box/cans was so severe. Usually when I do get them at least half the cans are dented in. I swear they just throw them around the warehouse like snowballs.
