Description

Leviton's IllumaTech Slide Dimmer Switch Faceplate is designed for an easy, cost effective way to change the color of the IPI10, IPM06, IPM10, IPE04, IP710-DL Dimmer Switches without having to install a new device. It’s as easy as removing the current face and snapping on the new color - White From the Manufacturer IllumaTech Preset Dimmers and Fan Speed Controls feature a low-profile fluid slide bar movement for fine adjustment of light levels or fan speeds that's accompanied by an easy-to-use ON/OFF preset switch. The switch provides quick ON/OFF control without disturbing your favorite pre-selected settings. Most feature a built-in LED locator light, as well. Models are available for incandescent, magnetic or electronic low- voltage, and Mark 10 Powerline dimming-ballast fluorescent lighting, and quiet and standard fan speed control. The switch still worked but the slider has broken such that it was not allowing dimmer function to operate. A new switch - if you can find this particular one- costs a small fortune! This was the perfect solution that I never knew existed. Easy to install and the switch is as good as new. So whether you just want to change the color or, if your slider or some other aspect of the switch fascia is damaged, get this right now! Original dimmer was a white Leviton IllumaTech. I was changing outlets and switches in kitchen from white to gray. After searching for a gray colored dimmer I discovered the choices are very limited. I chose Levi ton for wall plates, switches, outlets and GFCI since they were all the same shade of gray. While searching for a gray colored dimmer I stumbled upon this color change kit on Amazon which saved the day. The change kit was a perfect fit, color match and I was able to keep the original dimmer. If you are just searching for a Gray dimmer on Leviton’s website you may not find it. You have to know the color change kit exist which I did not until I found it on Amazon. Some reviewers commented in the installation. I had no problems. The color wasn't an exact match, but the dimmer switches came with the house, so I wasn't sure which color I had and they all looked pretty close on my screen.
