I am 67 with combination skin that is mostly dry but with a little oil in the t-zone. Until Ilia, I had never tried a clean beauty foundation that I thought was as effective as my regular brands. Now, I have 3 Ilia serum foundations - this more traditional medium coverage no spf version as well as 2 light coverage ones with spf and I absolutely love all three of them. I use this medium coverage foundation whenever I want a more polished, flawless look. It gives a natural, skin-like luminous finish and looks fresh all day. Since I switched to Ilia foundations my generally good skin (for my age) has improved noticeably. The skincare ingredients that are infused into the foundations are the real deal and simplify one’s life. I could absolutely have used this True Skin one when I was younger and had oilier skin, the serum-style foundations tend to be oilier and I’m not sure about them. I will say that using the Ilia serum foundations has improved my slight rosacea and eliminated all of my dry spots; my forehead was always dry no matter what I did and that problem is gone. Bottom line: If you are looking for a clean foundation with excellent performance and medium but very natural luminous coverage, I highly recommend this product.

After watching an Instagram influencer apply Ilia makeup I wanted to purchase everything she used. And I did buy what was available. This stuff is so popular several of the items in this line are sold out everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. It’s frustrating. This foundation is great as long as you don’t need full coverage. For reference I just turned 60 and I have freckles and other issues that need color correcting. So in addition to using this foundation I have to use other products if I want to cover everything up. If I’m just at home or only have to run a few errands this stuff is great. It goes on well and doesn’t settle too badly into fine lines. I find it works best applied with my fingers. Then I go over it with a brush and buff it out. It’s clean and good light to medium coverage.

LOVE this brand of non toxic makeup! I have used this for 3 years thus far and it works best for my oily skin. Goes on a medium to light coverage, it can be buildable to full coverage. Makes the skin feel light and glowing! Will continue to buy!

I like this foundation--it's light enough for everyday use and matches my skin well--but won't be buying it again because the pump/applicator is the worst I have ever used!! The top of the container comes off easily and the product leaks when you travel with it. Others have shared pictures and my experience is the same. It's good, but not worth the hassle!

I wish my skin was sensitive. Instead my skin is allergic to makeup. I have not worn makeup in over 10 years because anytime I tried my eyes and forehead would swell up. I have been trying all kinds of brands (none of them cheap). I got this foundation a week ago and waited to make sure I didn’t end up a triceratops before anything. The only thing I could think to look for was less chemicals and this definitely delivered. I’m so happy I can wear foundation again. I’m excited to try more of this brand’s products.

I have ordered the shade Corsica for a few years. Sometimes through Ilia. Sometimes on Amazon. I have always loved it. The shade was good for me and the foundation itself was great. However, this last bottle I ordered on Amazon, was very orangey and I washed it off immediately because no way was I going out in public with it on. I'm not sure if their formula has changed, or if I got one of a bad batch but it was un-wearable. Maybe my skin has changed...I looked like an orangutan! This shade is marketed as "neutral," but mine definitely was not. Now I'm unsure if I should try to get it again directly from Ilia, or just give up. It's a shame because I really loved this foundation, and my skin loved it too. And we all know the struggle of trying to find the right shade and formula of foundation that looks good and agrees with our particular skin! It's worse than trying on jeans!
