1) I live in a city that is over 100 degrees in the summer on a regular basis. 2) I live 15 miles from the grocery store. 3) I live in a city where plastic bags are banned. So, with the above three in mind... I actually bought this specifically for groceries. I have a large semi- insulated bag and I wanted something a little smaller and with better insulation than that for cold foods that REALLY needed to stay cold, not just have some flimsy insulation to keep them sorta cold. This little bag is perfect for frozen entrees, deli containers, and other smallish items that need to keep cold. It folds up nicely and sits up well - making packing it easy (I usually do it myself rather than have the checkers or baggers to it, because, inevitably, they will not put the right items inside of it). For size comparison, I usually can get at least 5-7 frozen or deli items stacked up, and also other items on the side of those, such as a couple of small milks, cheeses, and maybe a few dips. It's a good little bag and this was a really good purchase!

I think I misread the height in the listing, but our HydoFlask water bottles do fit in the bags. My husband's extra water bottle does not fit, but he puts it in one of the side pickets even though the pouch is a bit too wide. It keeps food cold with an ice pack, and we've had no leaks like our old bags. The designs are the same, but enough variation so we can tell which bag belongs to who. I like the zipper pouch in front to keep utensils and napkins, etc. which I didn't have with my last bag. The handle is comfortable to carry. We haven't needed the shoulder straps at this point. My suggestion would be to make them 1-2" taller. Otherwise, very satisfied overall!

Drinks being cold and no water leaking through, we used this cooler for a 80+ degree beach day, while most of the ice melted we still had a fair amount of solid ice cubes. I am very pleased with this purchase.
