  • No complaints good product
Color: Black Train Horn / Chrome Compressor / B...
This thing is awesome if you enjoy doing your own mudifactions. I can’t speak for other big name brands. But I can say I’m glad I saved the money here. Removed my spare and placed everything where the trucks spare was. The compressors are noticeable from outside the truck but inside while the truck is running and radio on you don’t even here it. I suggest wiring the compressor to a switch as well so it’s not filling the tank when not needed. Limiting compressor operation will hopefully prolong the life. They get hot. But a small oiled compressor building 250 psi is a task. Horn is so loud. Honestly it’s a toy for me. Maybe useful in traffic but end of the day scaring the crap out of people walking into Walmart is just fun. 👌 ... show more

  • CHOOO CHOOOO!!!!!!

Loud is an understatement, this thing is insanely loud. I have learned to look around for old people before using it seeing how it may give them a heart attack. Installed for a couple months now with zero issues, compressor is fairly quiet, no leaks and install was fairly easy. Happy customer!

  • Compressor Failed 5 months. Was LOUD - like a train - BUT leaks air.
Color: Black Train Horn / Chrome Compressor / B...
Update: Compressor Died after about 4-5 months . I’m replacing it with a VIAIR 450C (check their reviews).. the tank leaked air - pretty much garbage. Vixen wanted me to pay for shipping their garbage back to them. I even offered to replace the little metal flapper valve - to save us both money. But they said they don’t carry spare parts!!! So I’m doing what I should have done - going all Viair stuff from now on. I attached pictures of the Vixen next to my new Viair. See how much smaller and less cooling the Vixen has? I got the Viair 450C. I recommend do not BUY the Vixen. ———previous review—-5 months ago at first purchase below—— It's LOUD - like a train - BUT leaks air. I've checked all fittings on the tank, re-seated them. All tank fittings seem airtight. So, the only thing left to leak is the horn actuator - which is buried securely behind my front bumper (F350). If you don't mind airing up the tank every time you drive - then you'll probably be satisfied. ALSO - I had to BUY more hose. The hose supplied would not reach from the bed of my truck to my front bumper. There was NO space under my 2015 F350 to mount the 3 gallon tank. I'd recommend going with the smaller tank too. OR spend about $100 more $$$ and get a higher quality setup (Viair). You get what you pay for.... ... show more

  • Decent but one design oversight
Color: Chrome Train Horn / Chrome Compressor / ...
Decent and worth it. But a design flaw - Fittings all over it but none in a position to act as a drain when hung from its mounting brackets. You will have to fashion brackets to hang it under the bed of a truck due to this oversight. The drain valve leaked. Had to replace it with one purchased locally. ... show more

I have no complaints about it best bang for your buck. My rubber o ring went bad on the dump valve but i replaced it. Loud, 200psi, onboard air. The possibilities are endless.

  • Loud! Great. compressor sucks
Color: Chrome Train Horn / Chrome Compressor / ...
Update: compressor went out after 6 months Well to start off horns are loud as hell. Not too like I would want them but I'm satisfied. If you want to buy this product you will need to go to your nearest autoparts place and buy the following. 2 on and off switches. And some wire. It comes with a horn on and off switch but broke off while installing it. You will need a second switch to turn on and off the compressor because if you don't the compressor will stay on until your air line blows. You will need a coupling that connects your black airline from the tank to the author. And wire lots of wire. To run it from the tank to compressor and to the on and off switch and then one for the horn. It was a pain on my ass but ended up working. Really wished on the description of the item it would tell me about needing these things. Other than that I like it ... show more
