When you need to take a child on their first camping trip this would be a good addition to provide some comfort. These are not the thickest mattresses, but they are fairly compact and no additional equipment was needed to fill them up. I didn't use my foot to pump them up, but instead used my hands to squeeze the inflator sponge. Doing it this way I was still able to pump up the mattress in a few short minutes. When laying down these provide plenty of support for my 6' 200 pound frame. You are not going to confuse this with your memory foam bed at home, but it was better than laying inside a sleeping bag on the ground. I do not regret this purchase. Great product for the money.

It is very comfortable and bought it for my son for camping. It is very easy to put the air in it, just use the legs and that’s it. No extra accessories to buy it. Fits in small area of the any backpacks.

You can spend $200 (or more) on a sleeping pad, but for budget-minded backpackers or those who only get out a few times a year, the IHeat is gets the job done for quarter the cost. Aside from the price, there’s not a whole lot that screams “budget” about the IHeat you get a generous 3.25 inches of padding (including 3.5 in. tall outer chambers to keep you from drifting off the side), a competitive R-value of 4.5, and a 4 x 8-inch packed size (for reference, the Nemo Tensor above compresses to 3.5 x 9.5 in.). And along with a two-way valve with dedicated openings for inflation and deflation and easy micro-adjustment, it also includes a pump cushion on. For non-picky sleepers, recreational backpackers, or new campers with few points of comparison, the IHEAT is fully capable in most 3-season conditions. But at 1 pound 6 ounces, it’s not particularly light, and most are in agreement that vertical baffles are not as comfortable as horizontal or boxed baffles like those found on the NeoAir XLite and Ether Light above. All in all, it’s an impressive pad for just in fair price, and side sleepers especially will like the plush 3.25-inch thickness. For warm-weather backpacking, IHeat also makes the Air Core Ultra (non-insulated), which has an R-value of 1.4 and is priced at just $40. Hardly recommend for you

Bought product and was excited to use in the backcountry while backpacking. Got deep into the woods and setup camp. Inflated pad, went to sleep the first night. Woke up about an hour or so later and it was flat.. Had to wake up and reflate every hour to stay somewhat comfortable. At that point might as well just sleep on the uncomfortable ground. Inspected for leaks and or holes and found that air was leaking from one of the seams that it shouldn’t be. Disappointed and sadly am out of my 30 day return window. Good idea, but would be better if it actually worked.
