Just installed this in a 04 TJ 4.0 with a bit over 138K. I recently got a misfire so I figured it was time for some new plugs and since I was doing that I would do this too. Pulled the code, P0301. After this install and plugs the code is clear and the TJ is running well. The install was easy. Four bolts and a plug. I detached the air intake hose from the box and swung it out of the way. That alone was enough to get the old one out and the new one in. Seriously took minutes and I had all new plugs and coil pack installed in well under 30 minutes.

Coil came very well packaged with instructions and warranty information. Due to shipping and handling, the springs for each of the six packs could fall out so read the provided instructions on how to put them back in. This isn't an issue with the manufactured coil just the nature of the springs and S&H vibrations. Instructions on how to put the springs back are straight forward. Installation is a breeze and everything matched the OEM coil pack. This was a replacement for one ordered 4 years ago (so I’ve purchased two from the same company). With the first install there was a miss fire error on cylinder 2, but that wasn't due to the coil pack, rather the new spark plug gap wasn't to the exact specs of 0.35 causing the issue. If you have a misfire as others have indicated in some reviews, recheck the gap in the spark plug. Once the gap was corrected and the spark plug tightened there were no missfires and everything worked for 4 years and ~ 40k miles. The coil had the next misfire error this Nov in 2022. So far, I am very satisfied with this purchase, the price was great, shipping from the seller was prompt and well packaged and the install was a breeze. I plan to update in a few months if there are any issues with this second coil. The manufacturer does provide for a 24 month warranty or 24k miles whichever comes first. I would highly recommend this coil from this manufacturer.

Fit perfect but that wiring clip was a pain. Other than that this was a 15 minute job. Update: 8 months and less than 10k miles after purchase item failed. Starting getting engine misfires and 300 series codes. Went to local auto parts store and bought a SMP coil pack and engine fired right back up and is running great. Amazon wasn’t any help with my return/warranty claim, they just kept referring me to the manufacturer. So I sent them an email and they quickly sent one out. Well having already purchased a new one and not wanting theirs for fear of it failing again, I told them I didn’t want a replacement but a refund. They stated 6 months was the window for Amazon return. Sooo now I have an extra, somewhat sketchy coil pack sitting in my garage. So boys and girls pay the extra $50 and get an SMP or a BWD. Update 2: I can’t remember when it happened but the SMP brand pack I bought at O’Reillys went bad as well, luckily it was still under warranty so I was able to get a full refund. Soooo I ended up putting the replace that was sent out to me that I had sitting in my garage. Quick install and she fired right back up at ran great. This after market non-OEM stuff just doesn’t hold up like OEM but what can you do when you drive a 23yr old Jeep……sell it and buy a new 4Runner hahaha sorry guys.
