Description

When the original failure-prone wireless ignition module, or wireless ignition node (WIN), on certain Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles isn't functioning properly, the symptoms are more than just inconvenient - they render the vehicle unusable. That's because the WIN is an integrated electronic receiver that communicates through the powertrain control module (PCM) with multiple onboard convenience and safety systems, including the keyless entry remote and starter. When the WIN fails, the vehicle cannot be started with the keyless remote and the park/shift interlock cannot be disabled. This direct replacement wireless ignition module is designed to match the fit and function of the original module, and will restore the critical communication between the key fob, module and PCM to ensure the operation of those systems and other factory-installed features to original equipment standards. I put this in my 2011 Ram 1500. Super easy to install. Had a locksmith come out and code two fob keys to it and he was successful. He was super surprised it worked because they typically need pre programmed modules. He said I saved probably $400-$500 going this route instead of ordering pre programmed from a dealership or locksmith. It’s only been about 6 months so I’m hoping it holds up over time. My stick module slowly started getting sloppy with the fob then the fob would get stuck then it just wouldn’t turn over anymore. I found my two new fobs here on Amazon too and they’re super sturdy. Easy to install. This device does not come with keys and in order to program keys to the new module, you cannot use your current keys. You will need blank keys to program the keys to the new module.

I installed this with two new keys fobs .I used the program alphaobd it's only 49 bucks in the play store and you need a cheap obd2 code reader to run alphaobd through I bought a cheap one for 20 bucks .took half hour total cost for win keys alphaobd and reader 340 bucks . And alpha obd is the best reader for Chrysler products the one complaint is it doesn't have the connector in the back for the antenna to plug in so now the range to remote start is serverly diminished ... show more

You DO NOT have to program the WIN to your truck like the explanations say, all you have to do is put it in then program the key fob. You also DONT call the dealership to get a PIN the old PIN on your truck is WIN specific. You have to buy jscan or something similar to read the pin AFTER putting in this module. After using my jscan to read the pin, one try to program the key fob to the WIN the module locked down and wouldnt unlock. Even the dealership couldnt unlock it. Return was easy and got my money back. Bought a new one at orreillys and it programmed fine. ... show more

    • Perfect fit and function on my 2012 ram 1500
So I went out on a limb and bought this hoping it would fix my hard to start issues and weird voltage issues during startup. It totally did so far, found a YouTube video describing how to clean the stock switch because dust and stuff has gotten in there and that didn't fix my stock one. so I had this installed and had the dealer program it(required )to finish the install. I did carefully take this apart to inspect the internals and they appear to be slightly upgraded from the stock internals so hopefully they won't have to ignition switch failure down the road as quickly. I will definitely recommend this going forward, especially cuz a dealer switche is around $600 plus the required dealer programming fee. ... show more
