I’m in a zone 9b. This is the first year I’m starting seedlings under grow lights. It’s too early to put the young seeds in the grown and this is a perfect transition to hold and grown on my seedlings. This is helping a lot . So far it has held up to some rain and gusty winds in our area. A few nights when the temps dropped to low 40’s I covered the cold frame with a canvas type cloth. Seams to keep it warm enough over night. The frame was very easy to put together, I used a power drill so it went by fast and directions were easy to follow. I wouldn’t advise for it to be moved around too much because it is not a super solid piece. I found a great area that gets southern light and I’m making the most of it . I would definitely recommend this to the beginner gardener . . ... show more

I have not assembled this yet (too hot in Texas right now), but I did take it apart to make sure all the pieces were there and intact. It arrived well-packed and looks fine. I gave 5 stars because I want to be honest about the quality. It is what it is as others have commented here, but it was a good deal for the price. I'm going to use it to protect succulents on the coldest days of the year, and I think it will be fine for that. ... show more

    • Good looking greenhouse, easy to assemble
Sweet little greenhouses! I gifted one to my mother and she absolutely loves it. She has it filled with succulents to protect them from the freezing this winter. I've assembled three of these so far. All have arrived in very good shape and with very minimal, in my opinion, imperfections. Things like a very small chip of wood, or an imperfection in the transparent panel I think goes with the territory considering its not hardwood and the polycarbonate sheet is not as rigid as you might think, you can damage it, by denting, if you aren't careful. Use caution when unpacking that a corner of a panel doesn't make contact with transparent sheet and leave a dent, like I did. I put these these together without help using a drill. Screwing the lid on is the hardest part, but pre-drilling makes it easy. Elsewhere I didn't pre-drill, but it probably would have been better if I did take the time as the wood did crack in one spot. I'm really not caring about it, but you might. Very excited to sprout some seeds for the garden in mine this year! The finished greenhouses look very nice. ... show more

Installation was terrible - no pre-drilled holes for the screws and now that it’s together, the doors don’t even close and swing open at the every chance it gets. Not only that, I left it open when it was going to rain to allow plants to get watered and the top flap ripped open and broke the wood bending the screen. This is the cheapest greenhouse out there. I would not recommend purchasing! WAY too expensive!!! ... show more

A simple first garden for granddaughter! Nothing the best craftsmanship-requiring some hands-on care from Grandpa to cut-to-fit. But you get what you pay for and this was decent.

This is my first mini greenhouse/coldframe so I don't have anything to compare it to, however it was easy enough to assemble and everything lined up perfectly. It seems like it is sturdy and the shelves are strong. It is light and easy to move. I believe I am going to be well pleased with it.
