This is my review of the IDUN Minerals Magna Water Magic Mascara. The packaging is cute with the blue design against the white background. The color is black and I like the tone...it gives drama to my eyes, even on a no-makeup type of day. The brush is good, not too fat nor too skinny, but I don't particularly like the ball shape on the end. It seems to pack and collect mascara and look clumpy. I do also wish the mascara was a little creamier. I don't think the mascara adds length to my lashes, and very little volume. I have used 2-3 coats trying to build it up, but not really any different results than any other regular mascara. I like to use this as a light everyday mascara, but if I need to volume and length, I reach for a different mascara. This is why I gave it only 4 stars. ... show more

I've used both this and the IDUN Magna Lengthening Mascara and there is a difference between the two. For starters, the brush on this one is sparse (see pic), so a lot of product gathers on the end which (in my opinion) creates clumpy lashes. I end up having to separate my lashes to get the clumps out and I hate that. The IDUN Magna Lengthening Mascara had a really fluffy brush that was awesome and I rarely had to do that. That mascara was perfection. I'm sure there are people out there who like this type of brush for whatever reason, but it wasn't for me. Other than that, the product wore very well. Except mascara otherwise! I think I just liked the Magna Lengthening SO much that it was probably hard to live up to. IDUN does make a good mascara though! ~Amy ... show more

I'm always on the hunt for a new, better mascara. I liked the way this one lengthened my lashes without a lit of clumping. I didn't like the way it constantly seemed like it was dried out. It was like using one of my old mascaras. After about 4 hours of wear, my eyes were getting irritated but again it felt like irritation from old mascara. If you've never been bothered by the feeling of old mascara, the idea of a "healthier" mascara appeals to you and you're unbothered by the $20 price tag then this is for you. I have short thin lashes and much trouble finding mascara that actually works and looks good on me. I loved the brush on this mascara! My lashes separated nicely and the mascara went on smooth and evenly with no clumping. My left lashes have a natural curl which drives me crazy and I have always had a lot of trouble getting mascara on that side. The skinny long brush worked amazingly for me. I wouldn’t say that this mascara adds extra length but it coated my lashes nicely and I could actually see that I had lashes. I like a natural look, not super thick obviously fake looking lashes. This mascara achieved that look for me. I didn’t have any problems with it flaking and it came off easily with my makeup erase towel. I knocked one star because it will smudge with moisture but overall I am very happy with this mascara! ... show more

I feel like it’s a great size mascara and compatible quality to name brand ones, but -1 star because I wouldn’t say magic. I’d just say it’s a good mascara. I didn’t feel it added length or anything. I did love that it didn’t make my lashes look clumpy like some do.

This mascara is just ok. It fanned out my lashes nicely and provided a little bit of length, but not much volume. Also, the formula is a little dry/crumbly. By the end of the day, I was getting some flaking in my eyes and below my eyes. Not a mascara that I would go out of my way for in the future.

The coverage is thick and you will need to put it on in layers. 3 layers look full and not clumpy. Does was off easily with water. No chemical smell. It did start to deteriorate as the day wore on and pieces fell in my eyes. Setting spray helped.

This is a non irritating mascara and is buildable for volume but gets really clumpy. It's super easy to wash off and very light weight. It does everything a cheap drugstore mascara does. I did notice it got super flaky after 5 hours of use, even with setting spray. I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars because it gets the job done but costs way more than it should. ... show more
